"We recently moved from Lubbock to San Antonio and used TTCU to finance our mortgage. They went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of. They were able to easily navigate a same day close on our homes. The communication and follow through from Larissa and Aarica was outstanding!!"

"I refinanced my car loan over to TTCU simply because I thought I could get a better interest rate. That is about the only good that I've seen come out of joining so far, and the only reason I didn't give one star. In the beginning I noticed the interest rate I was quoted and APR were different. I spoke on the phone with my lender asking why they were different and why the payment amount seemed to be off, and he informed me he just enters the number into the computer and that's the numbers it gives him. I've seen this happen before with other loans but really wanted to know why the interest rates were almost .30% different. He wouldn't admit to not knowing, he just said that's what the computer says. I dropped it as it's still lower than my original loan. After I got my loan approved and funded, I was then told I was required to have a savings account. I have a bank that gives much better interest rates, so I have no use for a savings account, but I opened one with the minimum, as I had no choice. Next, my 'first' payment date was over a month out, so I decided to make my normal monthly car payment to go to principal. The online system doesn't actually allow you to make a payment but only a transfer, so I transferred my funds over to the loan, thinking it would apply it to principal. Nope. I had to email, call, and go into the branch to get it all applied to principal after it was incorrectly applied. While in the branch, I was told after my first monthly scheduled payment, I would be able to make payments to principal. It made absolutely no sense, but okay. I made my next payment with extra to go to principal notated in the memo line. Nope. Again, it was distributed incorrectly. I emailed my contact, who was also the lady in person who told me it would work 'after the first payment', and she replied that you can't do that online. The solution? I can transfer money to my savings account and then apply funds to the loan, AND then I have to call to have a certain amount applied to principal. Are you kidding me?! Every interaction I've had with staff here has been absolutely horrible. They're nice, but so far I've been misled, told 'that's just how it is', and I'm starting to feel like they don't care at all now that they have my loan. The ignorance is staggeringly obvious with the ones I've spoken with so far, and frustration is an understatement."
