"OK, we didn't originally book here, but ended up here after the Ottawa Fairfield had thier pool closed for maintenance. Kids had thier heart set on a swimming pool, and this hotel was also close to starved rock so we ended up here. Pool was actually quite warm, I almost never get in the pool and I was very comfortable in this one. Crystal at check in was super friendly, helpful, and gave us a little treat bag with bottled water and a snack for being Gold status. She also pointed us to the hot cocoa setup they had, which the kids absolutely loved. Room was clean and up to date, well maintained. Breakfast options were quite extensive, and kept up well. The extra touches at this property were a welcome addition to our stay, and now I will have a hard time choosing which Fairfield to stay at when we visit the state park area. Highly recommend this property for anyone who needs a clean, cozy hotel with great service."
"We were traveling from North Dakota to Tennessee on New Year's Eve and decided to rest in Peru, IL. What a wonderful find! We were greeted by friendly staff and a yummy hot chocolate bar that evening, and woke up to an amazing complimentary breakfast. Quite location in a cute town. Will make this our half point in the future!"
"My husband and I, our four kids and their families stayed overnight. 21 of us! We had such a good time in the pool and then we took over the breakfast nook to eat pizza. Lorraine worked hard to meet all our needs. Later, when we went to play games she got out movies for the kids, color books, and games. Our family is a lot, but she was so happy to be of service. It meant a lot. Thank you!"
"Not even close to Marriott standards! The bathroom had a strong old urine odor, and the light stopped working halfway through our stay. Would not recommend staying here!!"
"This was a pretty decent place. Staff was plenty friendly and helpful. The guest room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. I always love hotel sheets. The hot breakfast was surprisingly good. It wasn’t your typical powdered eggs and dry turkey sausage. They had a few really good hot choices and a bunch of sauces, salsas cheese etc. I would return to this place"
