"Wiley Middle School is an absolute disgrace for a middle school. Since August my child who is Autistic has been bullied and physically assaulted not only by students (image below where he needed stitches and broken finger)but staff as well! After months and months of issues I’ve dis-enrolled my child. Victim blaming and victim silencing. There is zero responsibility taken by the school. Heaven forbid you speak out against them because they’ll shut you out and Target your child like they did mine. Bullying is viewed acceptable and physical assault if your child is the victim and does something the school doesn’t approve like telling a kid to stop bullying or touching him. They’ve locked my child outside of the school during PE class. I’ve never been more disgusted by how they’ve treated my son since August. Stay away from this school! News and Texas board are also aware for legal reasonings."
"Excellent professionals, leanderisd.org details COVID 19 provisions and plan. The school district has a multicultural bilingual program and ESSER III plan in place as strategy to help mitigate academic gaps caused by the pandemic."
"My son’s last year of middle school, they changed school zones and did not give any information and changed the school. The school did not offer same class so he has to give up his band. What a shame. Avoid this district if you can."
"If you can avoid this school district you definitely should. Between passing along failing students to the next grade level and abusive elementary school teachers they have shown they cannot reasonably function as a decent school district. COVID 19- good luck getting information out of them regarding 2020-2021 class teachers/schedules in a timely manner."
