"The school itself is maintained rather well, and the custodians are very professional. The teachers whilst most of them are nothing but qualified others are lackluster to say the least. One teacher in my opinion seems to be rather vicarious in their "teaching" if you could call it that. But the one thing that gets me is the unwillingness to cancel school in dangerous weather conditions. It would be rather nice to have school cancelled under weather circumstances these however, are often rather trivial not requiring school to be cancelled I understand that. It's when tornado warnings around the school and dangerous icing of the roadways causing the buses to slide that I question why school would not be cancelled. Student safety should be a priority, but instead it seems as if the school wishes to maintain the schedule they have set. They should instead cancel when the possibility of risk or injury to students could occur. Only in extremely severe weather has school been cancelled. Even if every school around it has been cancelled you can usually bet DSHS will be open, and waiting to instill knowledge if you survive the weather."
