"Nice area to hike and stroll. Near the small parking lot is a half mile prairie walk. Lovely area with all sorts of wildflowers and grasses. To the east of the parking lot are several trails with hills. The trails are well marked."

"This is a great place to go on a walk or hike. Just remember to leave your fur babies at home. No dogs are allowed on the trails due to people not picking up after them. They have a level meadow that you can walk around. Towards the back is a raised platform, so you can see over the field of flowers! In the spring and fall you get to see an aray of pretty colored flowers. You can see the bees and butterflies enjoying said flowers. This area is in direct sunlight. There are trails throughout the wooded area for you to hike on that go up and down hills. These trails are mostly shaded by the tree canopy. There is a beautiful creek to marvel at. They have maps at every fork in the trail so you don't get lost. There is a building with pictures and information about wildlife. Inside are 2 single stall bathrooms. They have a pavilion with picnic tables for eating your lunch or snacks under. There is a trash can available at the Pavilion. I would recommend wearing a hat, jeans, socks, and walking shoes to avoid ticks and poisonous plant oils from getting on your skin."

"Great little place to hike. Quite a bit of elevation and love the little switchbacks on the trail. Beautiful fall colors. I would highly recommend."

"We really enjoyed our first hike here wit Mike. The pace was perfect for me & for my 8 yo. He was very knowledgeable & welcomed all questions, very pleasant experience we got to participate in through Peoria Park District. Also, many thanks to Mike who kept us all engaged with information on birds, wild flowers, bees, and trees. We will visit again for sure."
