"I love this school. Now they are not fighting anymore, the school is trying to improve and they actually have good teachers. The teacher will help the kids for everything they need."

"Some of the teachers are professional when doing their job but others are not. Had some problems there and attempted to work out solutions for the problems but their lack of communication and effort was shown. One problem I had with the principal and assistant principal. The assistant principal attitude was smug when she thought she handled the matter. She was more concerned about bullying me where to stand while waiting. Nonetheless that problem was of fault from another staff member. When emailing the principal and phone calls, she never replied. Among another problem, the assistant principal would not even acknowledge me so of course I had to find other assistants to resolve the problem. They need to work on communication and problem solving skills."

"Two stars because this school has not yet become the latter version of Eastside High. This school has a bullying problem and it seems as if there are no real solution being met! Upon the day of enrolling my child I spoke with a parent who's seventh grader was being bullied since they were in the sixth grade, and also now it was two children who were bullying their child. This school has a hostile learning environment, where even your most intellectually inclined student will find themselves in trouble, because they must protect themselves. This school as I been told has multiple fights through out the day. I have also been told of an incident where a student or students were smoking weed in the bathroom. This school is also very unsafe due to the fact that their student populous have no problem gathering right outside the exit to fight a child, as though a pack of wolves. I personally feel sorry for those who are in Sugar Grove Academy to learn and the teachers who are there to teach. Shameful since this is 2016 and one would think there were actually rigorous solution to such a huge problem of bullying. One last note, this school has a band class in which they are not being taught music but are only sitting on their cellphones looking at only they know what on school property."

"No stars isnt scoring low enough. These kids are out of control. My children and I moved here from California. We were eexcite about our new beginning and Sugar Grove has made texas hell thus far. The Dean, principal and every other staff member on campus dont do their jobs. My daughter was being bullied by a group of ten kids and I was told it was her fault. She was attacked while walking to class and nobody called me. The dean told my daughter she cany call home everytime something goes wrong. Well when she finally found a staff member that would help her school was out. (The attack happend early in the day.) When I arrived to pick her up she could barely walk she was dazed and dizzy. I took her to the hospital and she in fact had a concussion. When I attempted to file charges I was told there would be an investigation. After two days the school officer called and he interviewed all the students (no staff) and he came to the conclusion that my child who was new to the school was in fact harassing the group of bullies. How nuts is that. He threatened that if I wanted to press charges he would bring chages on my daughter. This place should be shut down. Its a joke. You see the teachers rating below mine. DONT TRUST THESE FRAUDS PRETEND EDUCATORS WITH YOUR CHILDREN!!"

"Upon researching this school I noticed the reviews were very negative. Even other schools told me that if I could send my child to another school I really should. Unfortunately due to zoning and this being their first year in HISD my daughter had to go here. I have had nothing but bad experiences. A simple bus route and schedule is impossible to get. My child is being singled out and punished for talking (which she did and will be punished) but the other students were not held accountable for their actions. Another teacher opted to single out certain students as her "smart" students. These students were then allowed to sit at certain tables as well as be dismissed prior to the other students. NO child should ever be made to feel as though they are not good enough. And let's not forget calling the office and trying to get things figured out always results in whom ever I need to speak with being unavailable. I honestly hate leaving negative reviews but this school is beyond ridiculous."
