"I am a graduating student of 2018 and would have to rate Cypress Lakes quite a mediocre score. You have your mix of good and bad teachers, although the good teachers far outshine the unremarkable experiences presented by the bad ones. The campus looks average and adequately maintained. The administration will work with you with anything that you need and there is a bountiful amount of extra curricular activities. Some gripes I have is that the bathrooms are absolutely filthy, some teachers shouldn't have the privilege instruct classrooms, and that the school has the same population density as an Indian slum. Additionally, there are fights nearly every week and that the concept of tardy sweeps are absolutely pointless and ironic."

"My daughter is currently enrolled at Cy-Lakes and although the school has a bad reputation it isn't nearly as bad as some may say. The AP courses are challenging and thought provoking. She was going to a charter school where these courses are stressed, however the courses at Lakes have been more difficult. I agree there may be a few bad apples but it doesn't make the whole tree bad. The school isn't perfect, but it's okay. If you're looking to challenge your children then I would recommend Lakes but if you're not then take them to daycare. The teachers do care and are there for the students and will help when ASKED. The school is clean as evidenced by the times i've been there which has been several times. Go Spartans"

"I've been teaching at this school for 7 years and I can say that many of these harshly negative reviews are very misleading. The views presented do not bear any resemblance to the things I have seen and experienced in my time at Cy Lakes. These vitriolic one star reviews seem to come from a small minority of parents and students who seem to have a personal beef against a small number of individual staff members. What's more, I feel that the embarrassingly poor grammar and spelling employed by these individuals speaks to their credibility. I suggest that anyone who wants to know the real students and staff of our school should come and visit. Our building is clean and safe and the teachers work tirelessly to educate over 3,500 students who come from honest, working-class families. Our school is not perfect, but it is certainly not what some people claim in these very negative reviews."

"Most sorry school probably in Texas. Besides Texas state's stupid policies. This high school is very dirty. The staff do not help the students at all until the student bugs them. Do not enroll at this school. It is horrible, dirty, and the staff members are very rude. They believe you should respect the teachers but they can disrespect you. They force you to stand for the pledge. And another thing i find funny is that they told the staff members to rate the school a 5 star and you can see the 5 star reviews the people are "google user". Again, please do not enroll at this school. It is horrible and disgusting. Either you apologize or they wont help you."
