"Great diversity among students. The school is decent but.. The staff is unfriendly. They make you feel like they're constantly pressed for time, when in reality, they just want to get back to their Facebook feed. The money the school receives goes towards the athletic department. In English, my text book was from the early 90s, but when I was on the basketball team, that same year we received brand-new Nike uniforms (home and away colors, at least $100/ea), a Nike sweatpants/shirt combo (at least $80/ea), & two pairs of Nike shoes (at least $90/ea) for a whole team of 18(ish). But if you're not participating in basketball or football, there is no recognition from staff for accomplishments. Sure, you may receive a shout out on the SCUC website or during the morning announcements, but they won't have a whole school walk-through and pep rally. Which in turn, makes the athletes very egotistical (i.e. requesting/signing a petition that teachers not assign homework to ONLY athletes on game days), making a lot of "cliques" within the school. I'm pretty sure our swimmers, journalists, musicians, go to state almost every year, but you would literally have no idea. The funds just aren't evenly distributed to their academia (where it is desperately needed). Teachers are truly undervalued. If you're looking into this school, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're a great athlete. Just go to Clemens."

"Most of the money is funded to athletics but the choir, orchestra, and music department as a whole is no joke either we've had 2 members in the men's choir go to all state. A lot of talented individuals go here whether it be athletics or fine arts."

"I attend Steele High School, And I must say its been amazing so far. I've been apart of the Steele Aquatics swim team for awhile now, and I have never felt more at home. The teachers are amazing (For the most part) and the football games are so much fun.However, I must say that some of the books are outdated.(But most schools are...) I am super glad that steele is going to have its own pool this time next year, I can't wait."

"I graduated from this school in 2009, and I have never been more proud of the growth and development of a school. As an Alumni, I visit as often as possible, making sure to catch all of the football games, as Steele has been a powerhouse since our SECOND year of being a school. People are literally moving into this school district to take advantage of all of the benefits they get from their children being a part of the Knight family. I plan to return to teach once I get certified. Noting like giving back to a school and a community that has contributed so much to your overall success. Go Knights Go!"
