"This is an update with my continued guidance from a very special career coach that was assigned to me back in February, she has been there with me on an amazing journey of self discovery, self worth and more. Ms. Irene is so talented in opening your mind and getting you to see, understand and believe in your self, over the past 3 months she spent time to help me understand what I needed to focus on, she listens and is never in a rush to end our conservations. Even with a well tailored resume the journey seemed bleak, but my motto is "keep a healthy mental attitude, stay positive no matter what happens", the right job will come, and Ms. Irene's motto to me was "keep applying until you get an offer". As I write this review I have 1 tentative offer of employment with the U.S. Small Business Administration, and an upcoming interview with another company, but the process for me doesn't stop until I have a solid offer. Thank you Ms. Irene for your insight, support, and willingness to always listen and give me guidance. It means a lot when you have someone supporting you even if you never met them in person."

"I am a recent graduate of DeVry, graduated Feb. 29 2020. I was having issues with my job search. Reached out to my career advisor, Irene Thompson, she noticed that my first issue was my resume that I had been sending out. She helped me revise my resume and gave me numerous tools to help me move forward in my job search. Highly recommend Irene for any and all issues in your new career search. Extremely nice, professional woman who is excellent at her job. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would!!!!!"

"I've studied in the UK, in Netherlands, in Nigeria and in other US universities in the past. My experience with DeVry has been great so far. I consider DeVry a great place to Study, the Professors are very helpful, Irene Thompson of Career Services was extremely helpful with modifying my resume and giving tips on structure and content of my resume. Her advise has been most effective. Allison Bennett and her team do a great job assisting students to navigate their path. Sherry Mettler is very helpful at Student Central. I've met DeVry graduates at very senior positions various industries and the network is great as well. If you''re serious about earning a degree I'll recommend you serious consider DeVry University."

"As a DeVry alumnus we have access to career services if and when we need it. I had an unfortunate event that left me in need of this service. I was blessed with the opportunity, no, privilege to work with a very out spoken, spirited, bubbly, highly motivated councilor. She was very knowledgeable and informative with every aspect of career hunting and helping me prepare to find the perfect job. She had a tremendous amount of patients while I struggled to creating a resume. Without her highly qualified professional assistance I would not have been lost trying to find a job. Irene Thompson thank you so much for all your help and guidance. You’ve done an outstanding job. You are a credit to your customers, peers, company and profession. Thank you so much."
