AquaKids Swim School - Flower Mound

"UPDATE: New management. The communication has not been very good. Response time is very long if they reply back at all. The instructors are hit or miss. When the student is on their back, they just pull them by their neck. The kids are not learning anything. They're not floating or propelling on their own like that. They now allow up to 4 kids instead of 3. You're paying $33+ per 30 min lesson, but a lot of wasted times waiting for other kids, instructor comforting crying kid or instructor teaching another instructor. The make up lesson now needs to be scheduled 6+ hours in advance. They obviously don't want you to schedule one? If they already have space, who cares if it's scheduled one hour in advance when you know your kid has enough energy to swim. You're now only allowed to schedule one make up lesson a month for absence and you cannot put yourself on hold in case you go out of town for over a month. I'm looking for another option for swim school. ------------------ Previous review, It's easy to schedule, and the communication is great. They will email or text you back and they're very kind and helpful. If your child is sick, you can reschedule for another day. Instructors, some are better than others. You have to keep watching to see who may be the best instructor for your child. You can watch your child swim from the waiting room. Half of the parents who occupy the seats in the front row are on their phone and not even watching their kids, or their kids are not in the water for another 20 minutes. The reason why my child may stop going is because they have very little options for Preschool 3. The only open classes are at 7p (too late) or Saturdays. (family activities) They have 10 choices for preschool 3 and 35 choices for preschool 2, of which 20+ preschool 2 classes are open for enrollment. I hope they will give more options for Preschool 3 during the weekdays."

"UPDATES:09/09/2023 No longer same level of quality I used to have before here. Rude front desk. Not ready to listen any concerns. Assigned teacher always absent and you get to know 30 minutes before the class about it. Every visit new coach assigned does not help my kid to see her progress and build relation. Long waitlist post class promotion. Considering to switch the school because of mismanagement and lack of trust with staff and front desk. Rated down to 1 STAR from 5 STAR. ———————- PREVIOUSLY REVIEWED AS 5 STAR A YEAR AGO. My kid has been in this school for over 2 months now. One of the best swim school I would say it is. My kid loves this school as every coach here is very respectful and kind to the kids and they work very hard and bring out the best in kids. The student teacher ratio is perfect as well and after each lesson you get chance to get feedback about kid’s performance. Very kind and friendly staff overall"

"I signed up mainly for my 5yr old since he couldn’t swim yet and doesn’t like to submerge his face in the water. My 8 yr old can swim but I figure sign him up to maybe learn some strokes. My mother in law actually Took her kids here why I chose this place. She said it was amazing back then when she signed up my sister in law, she learned to swim here and she’s now in her mid 20’s. I found that it is an amazing place and still an amazing place. In just 2 weeks my 5yr old has been loving his new skills. He’s been swimming and diving in short distances and it’s definitely a 100% progress. My 8 yr old is learning some strokes and they’ve been happy here. The staff is amazing, great customer service! Esteban at the front desk is awesome! He is so kind, polite and helpful! The teachers are knowledgeable professionals. Sebastian, Lily, Spencer has been awesome teachers! Great customer service. We plan on continuing our learning and swimming adventures in North Lake since it’s closer to our house but Flower Mound location is Outstanding! Thank you!"

"We chose AquaKids over two other swim schools we toured because we felt that the people were more friendly and informative, and because they had the slides to “reward” kids at the end of each lesson. They’ve done a tremendous job with our 5 year old and have been friendly and flexible to work with every step of the way."

"Great place to get your kids swim trained. The staff is very personable and works with you the entire way. We had some unique request that they went above and beyond in fulfilling. They keep their class size very small so it’s almost like a private lesson. I will definitely keep my kids here the entire time they are learning to swim. Thanks!"
