Ray, a retired M/Sgt. with the Illinois State Police, has a passion for continuing to serve the community. Inspired by his grandfather's barbershop in Benton, IL, Ray seeks to revive the nostalgic atmosphere of old school barbershops at The Armed Barber Shop. He believes men deserve a space to relax and connect outside of work and home. With a motto of "There are Wolves, there are sheep, and then there are Sheep Dogs," Ray hopes to create a welcoming environment for all. A $25.00 fee is required at the time of application for services.

On the way out the door Ray mentioned that everything happens for a reason and that the Lord doesn’t bring anyone all the way out to his place on accident, even though I’m not an overly religious man, I felt exactly what he said to be true.
