"Am I senior at the high school and it more like a prison they put a fence around the school and there's more strict then my 10th and 11th grade year on you can't go to the CC building during you lunch period"
"If I was rating my this high school based on how much I enjoyed going and socializing with my friends and how nice the people are, this would be a much higher review. However, to review this from an objective standpoint, I can only say this high school sucks. A good majority of the students do drugs and have sex in the bathrooms, they show extreme disrespect to the teachers, the band and foot ball organizations are the only ones which receive any recognition and funding, and most of the classes are dud classes - as in nothing is done in them at all. I haven't learned anything from at least 50% of my classes. However, I will say the other 50% of the classes have been wonderful. While it feels like some of the teachers don't care, there are some who really do and promote you to do your best. And, as I mentioned before, most of the people here are nice. My recommendation for students considering attending or parents looking at sending their children here: Harlingen High School is not a horrible school, but if you want a more academically rigorous school, I would suggest you look to Harlingen High School South."
"Horrible school only cares about the football team n band....kids dnt get to eat lunch ..the cafteria is closed till Dec. 2015 One lunch line for over 2000 students ..illegal imagrants get better service."
"I was a Grad, class of 84" man those were the days, parking across the street, the school was all open, smoking areas yes! for real, students and teachers,8 minutes between classes,1 hour lunch,you could go anywhere, lots of party's, great staff.And the Cardinals football team had some of the best players in the nation some went to the NFL.."
"I ad a great time in the 90's at this school but the principle at the time went overboard the draconian micromanagement of this fine facility demanding transparent backpacks and barbed fencing after the Columbine incident even though we didn't have much in way of violence. Felt more like a prison after that. I hope it's glory has been restored. Go Cardinals!!! :-D"
