"My first time going to this shop and the address included Suite B for the stylist Denise. I walk into the Suite B side Denise is no where to be found. As a matter of fact, there is not one black stylist. There is no one at the front desk, no one even ask if I need anything. I am ignored completely. My appointment is for 10am but I arrive early. It's about 1030a still no Denise. None, of the Caucasian women in the room acknowledge me but only stare. I call out to the lady in the first chair, who tried to ignore me and I had to call out to her five times. Finally she turns around and says, "Oh Denise is on the other side, which is the side." The side that is not Suite B. Apparently the shop is segregated, white stylists on the salon side and the black stylist on the other side. Of course it's after 1030a now, for my 10am appointment and still no Denise. They have not even washed my hair but there are six girls in front of me, I know I won't be back. I came to this shop off a recommendation, but I wish I had stuck with my regular hair shop. It's 1043a for my 10am appointment, and no one has started on my hair. This is purely ridiculous. I haven't even received a service but one star is received for the poor customer service."

What stuck out to me is that she will ask about allergies to products prior to application. Being one that has a chemical allergy, this was important because she's willing to go the extra mile to research and call about a product. She is very approachable, she's funny, and overall a very down to earth person. My hair is in good hands with her. At her current shop, the atmosphere is very welcoming and trendy."
