Rewards Dog Obedience School

"I have taken four personal owned dogs to Dee over the past ten years. I continue to use Dee because she is very knowledgeable with dogs, and understands what each dog needs. Her focus is on the dog, and what that particular dog may need versus what the owner THINKS their dog needs....because I was one of those owners who thought I knew what was needed for these dogs, and was shown I was off the mark!! This was proven to me with results, as Dee could get almost immediate results. Dee has been VERY honest with me, and told me I was a little too hard on my dogs, and she was right (I heard this later from my working dog trainer as well; I've handled three long working police service dogs). For those wondering, I am a police dog "handler", and not a dog "trainer", hence why I needed help from Dee. Dee has always shown me she has the dogs best interest at heart, whether you agree with her or not--and she won't hesitate to tell you. Dee will be honest with you, and not try to sugarcoat or make excuses. She strives to have good canine citizens leave her classes, and owners leaving with more knowledge on how to deal with their dogs. Unfortunately, all dogs are different, and some respond better than others, and advance faster than others, but she remains patient and consistent with each dog and what level it may need at that particular time. I have taken the puppy classes, the advanced class, the "Canine Good Citizen Class" and the beginning agility class. I have nothing but great things to say about Dee and her abilities, and the classes were a blast!"

"Dee Durland is the instructor at Rewards Dog Obedience. She is the most qualified instructor I have ever had. My dogs have gone on to compete to their championships and qualified in agility. But most of all she is caring and compassionate toward all the dogs. She has a talent for getting "into" their heads and figuring out how to get the most out of very difficult dogs. No the facility is not the best. She certainly knows that but facilities are very expensive and since she rents she is limited as to the repairs that she can make. I can not express enough what a good trainer she is."
