Meador Elementary School

"Please do not let your kids attend this school. I'm so happy mine will not be returning. They're not for the kids. The principle and vice principal make up their own policies and do not follow the district guidelines. They take advantage of low income families as well as look down on them to make themselves feel better. Today I put him in shorts following the district's dress code because they had field day in 90+ degree weather and they made him change into pants!! This is just one example! I have more stories..... Very very sad people in charge here. So happy school is almost over! Good riddance!"

"You guys are all right the principal and the assistant principal, are both rude and they definitely treat all differently not equal. If your child is sick more than occasionally or/ an have a disability this school is not recommended. I was told they get money for “certain children “ (ie children with disabilities) so even if they have to miss days because of surgeries, overnight stays at hospitals, doctor appointments basically none of that matters. The principal Beverly Bolton with tell you that Cps is gonna come get your kids, their health and safety is not priority number 1 (children with disabilities) only their attendance so they can get their money. At the beginning of the month the principal and assistant principal both wanted to have a meeting with me for my daughter absences from LAST YEAR to sign a contract stating that she can’t miss any more days of school this year. Now my daughter has autism and she has sleep apnea that the doctors are trying to fix. She also has therapy twice a week. Long story short I told them I couldn’t sign it because I know she’s gonna miss some days because one therapy two appointments and I told them both to have a good day as I was leaving Beverly Bolton told me and I quote “remember ms walker you leave your daughter with us every day” unquote now to me I know what that seemed it meant but when she said that I immediately grabbed my daughter out of class not to mention I’ve asked all her teachers to call me if anything is ever wrong with my daughter they all told me they couldn’t. When Beverly said that to me and I spoke to Mrs Whilborn and told her what happen she asked me if anybody heard not one of those employees stood up and helped me to try and protect my daughter not one of them and she said those words to me in the front office in front of every employee except the nurse. When that happen I knew that my daughter’s safety didn’t matter to that entire school and it’s still hard to deal with I can’t even send my kid back to school because I know if anything happens or Beverly come to get my kid from class I won’t be informed my daughter doesn’t speak so she can’t tell me if anything or anyone done something to her. Beverly Bolton also told me Cps was good mama take my daughter and I would be in jail although ever single that my daughter missed she had a doctors excuse."

"So this morning i had a meeting with the kids principal because they had been late due to our situation with the cancer treatments, and she got very offended because I told her that when I first got diagnosed I tried to get in contact with the counselor but she never called me back then when I received a letter because Tace was absent and tardy for a couple of days and I tried contact the vice-principle and again no answer both times i didn't call I went in and left messages because both of them were busy to see me (but it's my fault because I didn't call or go more than once)and this morning Mrs. Bolton from Meador Elementary School in Houston TX tells me to make me "aware" of the Great state of Texas laws that if i can't bring my kids on time to school that they will be remove from my house to a "home" that can bring them to school on time so I can do my treatments. Im aware of the laws as im aware that i have the right to remove my kids from the school and find another school or home school them she should be ashame of herself threatened a pregnant woman with cancer with cps."

"I went there when I was a little bit younger and I didn't like it at all . the principal was very mean and if you didn't behave and your parents gave the permission they could spank you . which shouldn't even be allowed at the school in the first place but I don't know maybe that's change but I'm glad i got out of that school and into a much more better one"

"The principal Beverly Bolton and the assistant principal Amy Clowers are extremely rude and overly passive aggressive. They treat certain people very poorly and have many double standards. I'm glad my child won't be coming back next year."
