"save yourself the horror that is interacting with this woman. bless her heart , she has not got a shred of bedside manner. If you are looking for a medical professional , she is not the one , friend, keep searching. i visited this Dr when i was new to the area, seeking to establish care. She argued with me, talked over me and basically used antiquated southern idioms to insult me. If you are someone seeking help for post partum, pmdd or any pregnancy related concerns, she is not the one. definitely not an advocate for women's mental health. its a pass for me thanks"

"If I could I would leave Zero Stars. My mom is at the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s and she lives in San Antonio. I live in Austin, TX and I drove down to take her to her doctor appointments. I scheduled this appointment and was never told to come early to fill out a bunch of paperwork and I was never asked for my email for them to send me paperwork. There was construction near the Madison Oak center that delayed us 12 minutes. Again, I’m not from San Antonio. Then we get to the office and I was told that Dr Michelle Villa-Olvera would not see us and I explained to the receptionist that I was unaware of the paperwork and no one called to confirm the appointment or that paperwork need to be filled out. I explained that I drove 2 hours to come all the way to south San Antonio to pick up my mom for her appointment. (I had to get off from work.). The receptionist asked the Doctor if she could still see my mom and Dr Michelle Villa-Olvera said No. I would understand if this was completely our fault. But, they didn’t have my email on fill proving that the scheduler had messed up by not gathering the proper information and by not emailing me the required paperwork before hand and the fact that no one from that office called to confirm the appointment or even call to tell us that they needed the required paperwork. Clearly, it was the mistake of her staff. And, after being told the situation she still said she could not see my mom. To me that speaks volumes of the amount of compassion she has, which is none. You expect your doctor to be compassionate. Well, that showed me who she is and when the receptionist asked if I wanted to reschedule, I told her, “No, why would I want to schedule my mom with Dr Michelle Villa-Olvera when now I know what kind of a doctor she is, a doctor who doesn’t have compassion or integrity (if I was the doctor in this case, I would of fixed the wrong my staff did and I would of made time to see my patient knowing the facts). It just shows who she is. So, thank you, God for keeping us away from seeing this person who clearly doesn’t have compassion for patients."

"Dr Olvera is wonderful. I have NEVER written a review in my life. Had to figure out how to do it, but when I saw a negative review, I had to disagree emphatically! I find her to be kind and concerned. She makes me feel comfortable each time I go for my check up. I would recommend her wholeheartedly to any of my friends."

"I would give no stars if I could. I write this post because 12 years later I still live with the repercussions of what occurred because Dr. Villa-Olvera was arrogant and rude. I tell you to take heed to this and go for another doctor. She could be fine if you don't mind dealing with rude bed side manner and condescending attitude. She is not fine if you encounter an emergency or encounter pregnancy complications. I had a multiple pregnancy and lost one child and have one child that lives with special needs because of her disregard and disrespect. The entire time she disrespected me and the choices I tried to make for myself and my babies. When I asked to switch doctors, I was refused a switch because she assured them she could handle it. I live with the regret everyday of my life. Only once did she show any compassion after my daughter died and that lasted all of 5 minutes. She is not......I repeat she is not a good OBGYN. If you just need a Gyno then she might be fine but she is not good with complications."

"Passive aggressive condescending Woman! HORRIBLE experience, even her staff had a shocked look on their face when they heard what she had to say to me. Waited 3 months to see her and being that it is June 18th and my boys are off for summer I had called to confirm it would be ok to bring them with me. I was told yes, they could come with me. I was taken back (maze back there) and when I was being taken into the Dr.’s office I asked where my boys could stay (didn’t want to assume the nurse would be watching them for me at the vitals station). The nurse started to explain she would be placing them in the room next to mine, as Dr. Olvera interrupted her and proceeded to explain (in a very soft and “polotically” correct, condescending manner that they do not offer babysitting there. I was shocked!!! I explained that I didn’t expect bbsitting but that when I called to ask if it would be ok for me to bring my boys I had been told yes. She then asked me my boys’ ages, 9 and 7, and then said, “Oh, so they can be expected to watch each other.” Seriously?!? No, I would never leave them at home alone, but I have left them in a Dr.’s lobby or in a space the office thinks is best and out of their immediate way. I explained to Dr. Olvera that I did not appreciate the way she spoke down to me and that she would assume I expected babysitting. She said often times parents do expect babysitting. I explained she needed to better communicate with the front office in regards to bringing children in. It was decided it would be best for me to see another Dr and I was brought in to meet the “Administrator” to explain the HORRIBLE experience I had just had. The Administrator said it is typical to have the children stay in the physician’s office while the exam takes place. Or the children can be in the room and a curtain is drawn. I wouldn’t expect the Dr to offer up her office, nor do I think she should, and never was a curtain mentioned while talking to Dr. Olvera and her nurse. In the end, I doubt the “Admin” will have anything to say to Dr. Olvera, but for the record, Dr. Olvera is a passive aggressive, condescending woman!"
