Young Elementary School

"I haven't had any problems with my little one attending this school,She is learning. But there are some things i don't like. For example, since i attended that school (20 years ago) , i never heard of the kids going out on a trip..except field day when 4th graders go to the pasadena stadium. They don't have fundraisers. I do send a lot of those box tops to the school, and im wondering if they reach a high amount to get equipment that is useful for the students. They don't do the small graduation ceremonies for all grade levels, which i think it's something nice they could do for the students and for their parents. If parents want to go eat lunch with their kids they don't let other kids in....so where do we leave our babies? I understand it might be a distraction for students if parents would take other kids , but it's lunch not class time. We're not interrupting class. They also have a lot of absences, and i think if they would have more fun activities for students maybe it would encourage them to want to go to school. I attended this school K-5th grade, i loved all my teachers.And so far i like all my little ones teachers also. Its just those small things ."

"This school is horrible. MR.TRYK kindergarten teacher has admutted to grabbing the children and yelling at them through their teeth. Our child was continuesly labled as a bad child (which he is NOT) it got so bad that we withdrew our child and homeschooled him for kindergarten. Unfortuenlty hadnt moved yet so enrolled him back into school the next year for 1st. Luckily he had Ms. JAMES! one of the best teachers and sweetest person i have ever met. The school is lucky to have her. She is the only reason we gave any stars. The people in the front desk are so rude and unhelpful."

"My kids have been going here for 2 years and I regreat enrolling them last year Ms.Ogden was teaching my son since she was not here half the year he did not learn much ,but thanks to Mrs.James who picked up the slack, he is doing fabulous and she is a torrific teacher. However my pre K daughter comes here as well and Ms.Guttierez always looks Like she's not happy and I'm always having an issue with her, there would be times when she will be 1 min. Late for breakfast, I can see kids down the hall on there way to breakfast and she still would not make an exception, also if I take her to school late and she misses breakfast she would assume that she hasn't ate all day when I would clearly make her breakfast , teacher would not even temped to asky daughter. And If there is any issues then to resolve it she dose not bring them to my attention she avoids me and will send Ms. Sascedo instead, Ms.sascedo IS A NIVE WONDRRFUL AND VERY WELL COMMUNICATIVE TEACHER SGE IS ASOME AND SO SWEET. Good Luck parents my children will not be coming back to this school that has no playground and no fundraising other than donations and pictures!!!!"
