"Horrible bedside manners and extremely arrogant. She does not provide a safe place or a peace of mind as you are just another insurance claim to satisfy her greed. Extremely pushy and invasive. This was my first time being under the care of a civilian facility/OBGYN as I came from a level one military facility and taken care by prestigious medical staff. First impression is everything and her approach was very different to say the least. The unprofessionalism she displayed as I had questions and concerns since she did things a lot differently than midwives and physicians I’ve been under and never had any issues. However, during my pregnancy she wanted to complete an invasive exam (pap) which as my patient right, have the option to politely decline as I will request this invasive exam to be postponed for postpartum (as I’ve done in the past being I just had one pre-pregnancy) to be safe during pregnancy and I am uncomfortable during this time and she immediately went ballistic and asked “what wrong information do you have?” and states “since you seem used to midwives, I can get you over to one.” “I’ve been a physician for x amount of years and hadn’t had any issues.” and proceeded to hand me midwife information that were clear cross town. I have never experienced anything like this and definitely wouldn’t want any new or returning mothers to go through the same just because of a title, as a medical student, this was a horrible and poor approach of a physician and I encourage all of you to know your patient rights and body autonomy, you can decline anything you don’t feel uncomfortable with especially a INVASIVE TEST (pap smear) that cannot be treated DURING a PREGNANCY anyway. :) in conclusion, I switched obgyn’s within the same clinic to Dr. Hatem Hatem and had absolutely NO issues. He was AMAZING!!!!!!! And you guessed it… never pushed or offered to do a pap to “pursue under his care or it’ll interfere”."
