"I have been a patient for several years my treatment has been ok. However, I am no longer in need of OB care and my GYN care is routine. The reason for the one star rating is this. I recommend both of my daughters to Dr Atkerson a few years ago, they both said she was ok and the location was convenient. In the last 2 years they both expressed concern of their treatment by her and have found another doctor for their OBGYN needs. It's extremely disappointing knowing how they were treated especially at my recommendation. Considerations, exhibited a lack of empathy and compassion in their interactions. Her demeanor was consistently rude, dismissive, and often conveyed a sense of judgment. If you prefer a doctor that listens and respects how you feel about your body and OB care then I would not recommend Dr. Atkerson."

"My experience with Dr. Atkerson was wonderful. I am postmenopausal and came to her because I was experiencing some bleeding. She was very straight forward with her approach, listened to all my concerns and when I asked if I could just wait and not have a procedure, she said not to because it could turn out to be cancerous. I had the procedure and unfortunately it was a cancerous polyp. She called me right away and referred me to an oncologist. I really felt like she cared about me and I am grateful for the time she took with me to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend her."

"Dr. Atkerson was recommended to me by one of her colleagues from Tennessee when I moved from there years ago. I was just recommending her to a friend when I looked her up and saw the 1 star reviews. I never had this experience with her. She is a great doctor! She delivered my daughter 6 years ago and I couldn’t have been happier with my prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care. Don’t let the reviews discourage you from seeing her or anyone else in this practice. They are all amazing and knowledgeable of their practice. If I still had the same insurance she would still be my doctor. Not that she has a bad bedside manner but I always say I would rather have a good doctor with a bad bedside manner than a bad doctor with a good bedside manner. Remember that before you pick the doctor that tells you what you want to hear instead of what you need to hear."

"I have been with Dr. Atkerson for about 5 years now. She always takes her time and genuinely cares. She does a great job explaining things and is patient and compassionate. I can't imagine going anywhere else!"

"I saw Dr. Atkerson. Upon first meeting her, I didn’t feel completely comfortable but I thought maybe things would get better. She was a bit cold and rushed. Later appointments proved to be the same. She was often hurried, one foot out the door, dismissive and annoyed. I also saw other doctors who were the same. Except for Dr. Brennan who was sweet. I wouldn’t recommend going here for prenatal care."
