In celebration of World Read Aloud Day, our library had the pleasure of welcoming Fox 26 News Reporter, Sherman Desselle, as a guest reader. This was an enriching literary experience for all involved. Throughout the month of February, Thompson Elementary will be celebrating Black History Month, honoring the achievements and contributions of African Americans in U.S. history.
Congratulations to Mrs. Calhoun, our outstanding Teacher of the Year! Your dedication to education and the impact you've made on students is truly commendable. We are proud to have you as part of our school community.
Established in 2004, Cycle Houston is a children's charity committed to improving literacy among second-grade children at Title One schools in the Greater Houston Area. We are grateful for their support and dedication to our students.
As your school librarian, I am excited to continue fostering a love for reading and learning among our Thompson Tigers. The 1st 9 Weeks was busy but fun, and I look forward to the rest of the school year.
