"I am at this school several times a week. In the hallways, the classrooms, the gyms, the cafeteria. The things i see are so sad. So many of the kids have behavioral issues. But understand that alot of it is improper parenting. I see parents constantly making excuses for their childs behavior. These kids do not listen, they interrupt instructional time and make it hard for others to learn. I gave the school 4 stars for the following reasons: they want nothing more than to see these kids succeed. But that REQUIRES parents that are actually involved. -1 point for how bullying is handled. Zero tolerance means just that. These kids hit and punch, they slap and its ridiculous. The teachers will tell the kids to sit down and be quiet. I dont care what grade they're in, send em home. If they wanna hit and be violent, do it at home. Long story short: as a parent, aunt, grandmother, etc....be INVOLVED."

"The things that go on up there is sad they send home papers so you can update things at the beginning of the year you do that I guess they so busy they making so call changes they forget what was the point. So they had the Christmas party is went up there and other parents did to so they say the party is for the kids and I'm like y'all didn't say that didn't get an email text or a voicemail so s so the principal came up and said yeah I sent them personally. Another parent said I didn't see it and it didn't say that. So I'm like why would parents be showing up. They have to much going on up there almost every other year or so new faces new principles ect.. to much bullying is going on up there and there not taking things serious kids fighting almost everyday teacher's can't keep they hands to themselves my kids can't learn cause other kids disrupting class"

"My child is no angel, we receive atleast 5 msgs per day, everyday, regarding his behavior. She has insisted in our help so much and has even recommended we talk to his pediatrician. At this point we are very concerned, his ugly behavior only seems to be at school! Today my mother showed up to address yet another msg and issue going on, and witnessed Ms.McIvers teaching method first hand! Violently forcing a female child into her seat, grabbing her by her head and neck and screaming two fingers away from her face! A lot of my child's behavior makes much sense now"

"I have my two grandson's, I honestly like the school. But teachers don't have control of the classrooms. At what point do you suspend a 1st or 3rd grade child. In school suspension should be something to consider. Kids have a lot of grown-up things that they have to deal with, try something else. Until you have walked in someone's else shoes you just don't know."

"I like the school, the only reason I deducted a star is because the principle and asst principle are never available. I wanted to sit in on my daughters class to monitor her behavior and it took days before they got back to me. It makes things difficult for a concerned parent"
