"Waited over 40 minutes for a pickup order… We selected our pick-up window on the app for 8-9pm. We received the notification that our order was ready for pickup. We arrived at 8:07, followed all the prompts for notifying the store that we arrived. Because the app said someone was on the way, we waited about 10 minutes and then tried calling with no response. We kept getting the automated message that they were helping other customers (no other pickup customers were there). After 20 minutes we called the service desk and they told us they were on it and would them know. Another 10 minutes passed so we decided to go in and get help at the service desk. Management was notified and we eventually received the order. The only explanation they had was that no one was in that department at that time of time. We are really confused as to why that pickup window time was even an option. We were offered a $20 gift card, which in no way makes up for the lost time and gas spent while idling."

"I just moved to St. Charles. I usually shop at Jewel, but Meijer is right down the road from me. I typically wouldn't take the time to do this review, but I'm hoping that my feedback will prompt those in charge to make the necessary changes and improvements. It was my experience today that most of the produce was in very poor condition. The fruit was rotting or near rotting. The greens were all wilted, the celery looked like it had been previously frozen and the tomatoes weren't red at all, more like orange. I wish the bakery had a better selection of specialty, artisan bread. I went through a checkout line that had a person running the register. I would say 85% of the merchandise in the aisle was empty boxes. There wasn't anyone bagging groceries, so I had to step in and bag my own. I unfortunately have given this store several chances and there has been zero improvement. I won't be coming back to shop to here, I will go across town or to the next neighboring town from now on. Groceries have become incredibly expensive, and adding poor products and service to that mix is just an insult. I hope management will step in and make the necessary changes to make this a great place to shop."

"My #1 store for all! Meijer has always had the best prices, the cleanest stores and the most wonderful and polite staff! I have been going to Meijer for so many years and have never been disappointed. I can always find everything I need from the most common of items to the not-so common items. Thank you for always being fantastic Meijer!!"

"Friendly and helpful staff. Easy to find/get to. My daughter had their hot and fresh chicken stripes found near the checkouts. I, too, had a few pieces and was amazed at how good they were (had a little spice to them). Heard from other family members how good their fried chicken was, too. Would rate them a top 3 for chicken stripes I've had at fast food and sit-down restaurants."
