"I am a current alum, teacher, parent, and alumni board member here at TCA. I attended TCA 13 years (what we call a "lifer"), I have a second grade daughter currently attending, and I teach 3rd grade at TCA. With all these roles, I can say that I see many different sides and angles of TCA. From an alum's perspective, I can say I was prepared more than enough for college. TCA's academics are incredible! What is more impressive though is how they teach study habits, time management, and a healthy balance of school and social life. I received academic scholarships for college and earned my Masters in 5 years with honors. Now serving on the alumni board, I can say TCA cares about alumni students after they've graduated and value families returning to TCA as Legacy students. Each year, members of the alumni committee visit some of the major colleges, send care packages to all freshman, and pray over them throughout the year. If you ever want to see or hear of the impact TCA has made on a child's life-come to Homecoming! It is such a special night and so many previous students come back because TCA means so much to them. From a teacher's perspective, I can tell you WE CARE. We LOVE each and every child that comes to TCA. We pray for, build relationships with, and develop the whole person for each and every family. The teachers here at TCA truly know each child and meets them where they are at to help them grow and be prepared for not only the next grade level academically but socially and emotionally as well. We work hard to build relationships with parents and value a partnership for the success of their child. TCA does a great job with constant communication with parents whether through the website, email, newsletter, social media, etc. From a parent's perspective, I would not want my daughter anywhere else. TCA truly does develop the whole person for the glory of God. My daughter not only receives an excellent education but she learns about God each and every day which is helping build her relationship with Him. We can talk about school, friendships, and sports with a firm foundation of what we are called to do as children of God. TCA uses God's Word as Truth and are always pointing to it when discussing issues. I also have no shame in sharing that we are so blessed by TCA's Tuition Aid program. Our family makes sacrifices to be able to afford TCA and having a program there to help means so much to us! Do not say no to TCA just because of cost! Ask about Tuition Aid if are looking into applying or come visit. Overall, I can't say enough about how TCA has impacted my life personally! I loved attending TCA as a student, I love being a parent here, and I always say working at TCA is my dream job!"

"No question that Jesus is woven into every fiber of TCA! This is a school that prides itself on growing the whole child and whose focus is driven by bringing out the best each child has to offer. Your child will find more than just a superior education, they will find purpose, drive and determination."

"Positives-I love how they connect learning to the Lord. I love how my child would come home with memorized bible verses. I did love the small student to teacher ratio and they had a great lunch menu. I also loved after school care. I came across the reviews because I'm searching for a school for my son and decided to write, since a parent's experience closely resonated. I always avoided writing a review, but I believe it could be an opportunity for growth. What was shared about being the "right fit" is accurate. I won't share many details but I expressed the concern of "inclusion" to the counselor. I extended grace as there may be a lack of cultural understanding, but there is always an opportunity to learn and grow from our experiences."

"I have attended TCA since 8th grade. I have meet many great friends and grown greatly in my faith. My only concern would be the middle school. TCA is the BEST option for high school for the DFW area but not middle school. I don't believe that the curriculum matches the tuition for middle school, and it would be best for a student to attend elementary and middle school elsewhere."

"They made the mistake of thinking I was going to put my high energy first grader on stimulants to keep her sedated during class. Perhaps I will but not in the first grade and not in an environment where she's not being taught anything. I spent 30K for prek and k and my daughter learned very very little. She didn't learn anything in reading, writing or arithmetic. After TCA told us our daughter didn't fit at Trinity I took her to a different school. After a week of academic testing at the new school they said she's preforming at at least a second grade level in everything and a third or higher grade in reading. They recommended skipping first grade and moving her straight into second grade. In less than a week the new school had done more academic testing than Trinity had done in two years... Still I was concerned about my daughters high energy issues and ask her new teacher if I could meet with her. When I met her new teacher I ask her how we will be communicating about behavior issues, making sure we're on the same page and what we can do to help. Her teacher said there were no problems with my daughter, she's doing fine and has no issues that can't easily be handled. Her teacher said she's an expert and can spot problems and would of already let me know if she saw any. I couldn't believe it, I ask her again and again, waited several days and waited several weeks. I keep getting the same answer, my daughter has no behavior issues. As a TCA alumni I'd say carefully consider if your child is right for TCA. TCA focuses on the 82% kid. If your child is too bright or not bright enough then TCA is not a good fit. Be prepared to be involved, on a daily basis, in your child's education. If you want someone who can take care of the business of educating your child without your daily intervention then TCA is not the right school for you. TCA about traumatized us sending all those silly teacher notes with boxes to initial and sign everyday that highlighted their own classroom and teacher management problems. There is a lack of honesty at least at the lower school level. While it didn't seem like it at the time our last day at TCA has been a blessing for our family."
