"I originally had an appointment for 3/1 that I had booked back in January at Tru Cardinal after a friend highly recommended Tru salon (my regular stylist from Iowa was on vacation) I’m from out of state and was so looking forward to getting my hair done for an event while in town. On the day of my appointment I had driven from CR where I was staying to IC. I was 2 minutes from the salon (10 minutes till my appointment) when they called and canceled on me due to the stylist having an emergency. I get it things happen but the person on the phone was not super empathetic and stated the best they could do was reschedule me in a few weeks (I had put in my appointment notes I was from out of state) the person on the phone basically said there was nothing they could do. I cried all the way back to CR. I had left a previous review (now deleted) expressing my frustrations. Shortly after the owner Holly personally reached out to me to make things right and offered to fit me in with a different stylist Samantha (who is amazing!) at Tru Oakdale. I had a wonderful experience today and am so appreciative that they were able to work me in and the desire to do right by their customers. Holly herself even stopped by to check in which was an extra sweet touch. Will definitely visit again when I’m back in town"
