"My experience and opinion: Judy the only stylist that was good here left. The stylists that still works here probably don’t have the talent to go anywhere else. On top of that they are pretty rude and lack customer service and expect good tip. Entitled, rude, no talent. Would not recommend."
"As one of the lady posted, one guy called Kevin was extremely rude and no patient at all. The first time I went there was to dye my hair, another lady dyed my hair but Kevin checked me out, he directly told me I need to leave more tips, I was unhappy, I’ve never had any experience that someone asked for more tips, that is rude. Second time when I was there, I had an appointment with another lady, but I was 5mins late because of the traffic and the crazy storm that day, but i called and let the lady know, when I walked in, he asked me who I made appointment with, and what time was my appointment, I explained and apologized, then he looked at the clock, rolled his eyes, then pointed that lady to me meaning go directly talk to her. So I went to her, then she seemed shocked because I walked to her, then told me just have a sit and wait a little bit (she was nice though). I was very disappointed at the service I received, Kevin was extremely rude and I was not even his direct customer. I don’t know why he still has a job there with so many crazy complaints about him."
"We visited this salon today to get a perm for my 14-year-old son. Upon arrival, they asked us to wait until the master finished with his client. So, we found a corner with a couch to sit on. After about 3-5 minutes, the person at the reception desk took my son to wash his hair. I waited for him for about 5-10 minutes and then decided to check on him. I couldn't see from the other side of the salon/corner that master already started cutting his hair. To my surprise, the sides of his hair were already done. I tried to communicate with the master(who appeared to be about 35-40 years old), explaining that my son swims for about two hours almost every day. However, understanding his Korean accent was quite challenging. In the end, I gathered that the perm would last only one month, which was unexpected for me since I had never done a perm before. I asked my son how things were going, and he showed me the same picture he had shown to the master—a smooth transition from the sides to the top, rather than having the sides too short and the top too long. Unfortunately, it was too late to make this adjustment, as the master had already cut the sides too short. I informed my son that it was too late to achieve the smooth transition he desired, as altering the top would make it shorter than he wanted. After we were finished, it was time to pay. The master told me that the perm cost $100, and the product for the perm hair we purchased was an additional $20. I didn't immediately understand what he said, so I handed him my card. Then, he asked about the tip, which caught me off guard. His accent and demanding attitude made me uncomfortable, so I unexpectedly said, 'You can take $10 for the tip.' Perhaps if he had used a machine for the transaction or provided options for the tip amount (e.g., 15%, 18%, or 20%), I would have chosen the tip amount myself. In any case, it was clear that he was not pleased with this amount and began pressuring me to give more, insisting that tips should be at least 20%. He even wrote this down and showed it to me. I apologized and explained that I could only afford $10, considering that the perm would last only one month, and I had already spent $120 in total. Despite my explanation, he became increasingly angry, demanding a 20% tip. I apologized once again, expressing my understanding but emphasizing that $10 was all I could give. His response was, 'Don't come back here!' He raised his voice, almost throwing my card back at me, which left me shocked. He also yelled 'GO AWAY!' and stepped away. Throughout the visit, the master didn't greet us or show any politeness. His behavior was consistently rude. I questioned why I should pay a 20% tip, especially considering the service wasn't great. He seemed indifferent to the fact that I was pregnant and had my child with me, raising his voice without consideration for other clients. I couldn't help but wonder how the situation would have unfolded if I didn't have enough money to pay 20% tips even if the service was great. It was the worst experience for me…"
"Got a setting perm here and satisfied with the results. However, one problem is that some parts of my hair in the back did not curl and remained straight. Also, I asked for light layering but the stylist layered a lot of my hair off but it was not too bad at the end. Service was good and staff were friendly. Mostly Korean speaking and adequate at English."
