With a background in Southern and Soul Food cuisine, Chef DAT brings a unique flair to his dishes. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Chef DAT's passion for cooking started at a young age, growing up on farms and exploring the flavors of local meats and produce.
Chef DAT's journey led him to Dallas, where he worked at various dining establishments before creating the Chef DAT Underground Dinners in 2009. These pop-up dinners quickly gained popularity and expanded to cities like New Orleans, Houston, and even Belize. Currently, Chef DAT is focused on building an empire of seasonal dining experiences in Dallas, San Pedro, Belize, and Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

"The only reason i am leaving one star is because I cant leave zero. Had a reservation at 11:30 for hip hop brunch for easter sunday. We arrived 5 minutes early to a fairly empty restaurant and were left to stand at the front door for 5 minutes before any of the staff acknowledged us. After talking to the bar we were seated and that was the last time any staff stopped by our table. After sitting there for 20 minutes without even waters being dropped off at our table we decided to leave. 2 parties of walk ins were greeted and seated at the bar and had drinks by the time we left. I am completely at a loss as to how disorganized and ineffective the front of the house staff were."

"Super charming dinner experience. My husband and I went for our anniversary. David, the chef and owner was lovely. He greeted us and told us a little bit about each course. Food was incredible and the drinks were great. Gumbo, bread pudding and French 27 cocktail were our favorites. Will definitely go back for more!"
