"Worst Insurance Company and Customer Service! I was involved in an a car accident. The person who hit me is insured by Amica. My vehicle was undriveable and ended up being a total loss. Amica took 3 weeks to make any contact with me. At that point I was allowed a rental vehicle. I was out of pocket the first 3 weeks as I was forced to use Uber and Taxis to get to work, etc. Amica only allowed the rental for 4 weeks. At this time, I still do not have the pay out from the loss of my vehicle. How am I supposed to get to work? How am I supposed to purchase a replacement vehicle without the pay out money that I need for the down payment? The Customer Service Rep. could care less! Not once did anyone ask if I incurred any medical expenses or ask if I was okay after being in such a horrible wreck. Amica doesn't care about people! They only care about making money! I hope people read this and consider this before signing up for their Insurance. I wish I could have given them a zero star review! To make matters worse, this is what I heard back from Amica and guess what. Nobody contacted me! "Response from the owner 2 weeks ago: This isn’t the experience we want you to have, Tom, and would like the opportunity to discuss your concerns with you. We’ve passed your review along and will have someone reach out to you directly. Thank you.""

"AMICA SUCKS. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER IS GETTING AN ON LINE QUOTE OR CONTACTING AMICA FOR A QUOTE. Stop yourself from doing this! Not only will the quote suck but your contact information will be in the hands of predatory mass marketing frauds. 3 years ago I contacted Amica to STOP sending me marketing mailings after receiving SEVERAL per month every month. 2 years ago I contacted them again to STOP and still received multiple mailings each month. A year ago I contacted them to STOP for the 3rd time. Nothing works. I am on year 4 and time to contact better business and my state government to get rid of this vermin of an insurance company. They are horrible in every way."

"Pricy insurance, I originally was a homeowner insurance customer from 2017-2023, my rate started around $1000, but then was up to around $1800 by the time I left. A nearly 80% increase in 6 years? Crazy, I left, I called and asked for a better rate, but they couldn’t help me. I took my business elsewhere and saved a load, and got better coverage."

"I am leaving a public review here because the phone calls aren’t helping and I am not sure what else to do. I have been receiving Amica quotes in the mail for years (I would assume since 2017 or so). I have never had Amica insurance and do not intend to get it in the future and here is why. The letters I get are addressed to me but always on my ex-husband’s last name. When I called them back for the very first time I simply asked to at least change my last name and was told it was changed but it hasn’t been. Since then I have moved a few times, have a new address, new last name, new phone number, but the letters just keep coming somehow. I’ve called multiple times over the last few years and especially this year asking to remove me from the mailing list, but I still get mail. When I call I try to be as nice as a can and most agents have been nice to me but nothing is changing. Every time I call they say they took me off the list and everything should be fine in 6-8 weeks, but I still keep getting letters. I saw one in the mail today and have talked to an agent on the phone just now, as well as sent them an email. Starting today, I will be gathering all information I can and will be talking to a lawyer. This is unacceptable and embarrassing for a company whose motto is “Empathy is Our Best Policy.”"
