"We contacted the practice because our 95 year-old mom, an Alzheimers patient in memory care, was having mild discomfort in her mouth. They did a quick assessment and immediately recommended 3 extractions. A few months later when she again experienced mild discomfort, extraction of 3 teeth was again recommended. No x-rays were ever taken. When we sent an email with detailed questions about the recommended procedure, it was almost a week before we received a reply. When we finally did, none of our questions were answered; instead, we were told to bring her to an oral surgeon. As the name implies, My Geriatric Dentist focuses on the highly vulnerable geriatric population, many of whom do not have advocates. The fact that they quickly recommended extractions and were unwilling to address our questions raises numerous red flags."
