"Elida is such a sweetheart—what a wonderful employee you have! Being new to an area, you tend to feel lonely... a lot. Not being fluent in the language makes it worse, a constant sense of isolation often making you feel as if you’re always in the way or inconveniencing people. I’ve also noticed that, being new, you’re constantly displaced, making weird, random mistakes; like forgetting your credit card which— though it’s a small matter for most—makes you feel incredibly stupid when you are already feeling alienated from everyone around you. So when Elida was kind enough to keep my groceries ready for me (saving me the trouble of having to re-shop) it meant a lot to me. Though I’m sure it made little impression on her, kindness from a stranger in such a situation can feel invaluable when you’re new. And Elida was kind and warm and welcoming. That meant the world to me on a day when I was really homesick and out of sorts. Bless you, Elida, for being such a compassionate person and helping me feel just a bit more happy in my new home."
"With covid rates very high, it is impossible to social distance in the store when only 3 lanes are open and they are all next to each other. There are 13 check out lanes in the store. Why not just open every other one?!"
"Went to the pharmacy in port Isabel TX and reordered my husbands pills that ARE on the $4.00 per month list. I received the pills that usually come to $20.00 for a 90 day supply. They charged me $36.00. When I check my back info on this medication and the prices, I called them and they said the price has changed but the info on their web site is still the same price as before. They need to update their web site so I do not feel as I'm getting ripped off!!! Beware!!!"
