"Night shift is unprofessional. The Nurse Dustin Walleck lacks compassion for others. You can tell he either didn’t want to be there or was ready to go home. I went into urgent care 02/28/24 for an ear ache. 8/10 pain wise. While I was in the waiting room I heard Dustin call my last name I said “I’m here , I’m coming” as I’m getting up to take myself and my son to the back he kept calling my name with attitude so I replied when I saw him “I said I’m here give me a second” we get to the back he asks me what my weight and height was I’m assuming he didn’t feel like taking my weight and height so I told him. (That didn’t really bother me , but that should’ve showed me how this visit was going to go) after he takes my vitals I’m waiting for Dr.Dunn. Dr.Dunn is usually awesome. I have nothing bad to say about him other then I don’t know how he can say I didn’t have an ear infection if he can’t see my actual ear drum , because there’s wax “jammed” into my ear canal as he said. Anyways I take Dr.Dunn advice about removing the wax from my ear however I will be going to see another Dr. tomorrow for a second opinion, because my ear pain is terrible at this time. It’s now 9/10. Fast forward to getting ready to leave I ask for a doctors note two people said I had to ask the nurse for one which would be Dustin. I ask Dustin he says he’s not writing a doctors note for ear wax and then he goes on to telling me about another patient and there ear problem and how he went to work the next day. I’m sorry, but the other patient has nothing to do with me and I do not need to know their business. Dustin doesn’t know what I do for work and how strict my job is so all I needed was proof that I was there at the time I was and a signature from the doctor. However he kept refusing to print a small paper. I didn’t say I wasn’t going into work but I needed proof to show my job I had to get my ear checked out. Keep in mind Dustin is saying all of this with attitude. Like I said lacking compassion , lacking empathy , lacking what a nurse is supposed to show. I waited for my husband I was crying because I’m in pain and frustrated. My husband went in to ask for a Dr.note and we kept getting denied for one and even Dustin tried slamming the door even though those doors don’t slam because they shut slowly. So I left with no antibiotics prescribed just advice on how to remove wax and a number to call for complaints and the number is out of service. Plus I know when I remove the wax there’s infection behind my ear drum. This isn’t my first ear infection I’m 24 and have 3 kids (parents know what I mean) also I have family members that work in the medical field and these facilities aren’t supposed to deny you a Dr.note if they’ve seen you and have your information that you were there. So I will be getting ahold of someone for the complaint and I will be doing more digging on HIPPA and OSHA. I’m sure I’m not the only person that’s had to go through this."

"The level of care I received here for a routine surgery was that of a time long gone. I felt like I had stepped back in time. The nurses exuded compassion with their every move. At no time was I ignored or left to wonder what was happening. They ensured any pain I felt was immediately controlled. At one point while waiting for surgery I was mentioning that I was cold. They not only grabbed me two warm blankets, but also brought in a space heater! I can’t see enough nice good things about the folks who work here. Warmest regards, a very satisfied patient!"

"I am going to be a bit longwinded here, as this is an issue that started in 2021. I went to the ER the day after I was in a minor car accident (sometime in February 2021) due to black ice, reported that I had chest pain on left side and that something just did not feel right. Dr. Bryan Dunn just physically checked my left side and stethoscope on lungs, said I was fine and sent me home. I kept having symptoms, and started having some shortness of breath, the pain on left side worsening, and experiences that I can only describe as some sort of seizure, so I went back yet again sometime in March 2021 and reported symptoms. Dr. Bryan Dunn did some kind of infection test on my blood and the levels were elevated, as well as a CT scan and X-Ray where they found a pleural defect in my lungs. I was told that he didnt know specifically what it was but could have been a sign of having pneumonia in the past, to which I responded I've never had pneumonia. He still did not give any preventative care and said the shortness of breath must have been my anxiety (despite the pleural defect being an OBVIOUS sign of clotting in the lungs). May 2021 I pass out from pulmonary emboli and go to ER by ambulance. A different nurse was on the shift and was very knowledgeable and compassionate. She looked at all the tests that had been done and even said herself that she is surprised nothing was done considering there was a pleural defect and that it was obvious clotting was happening. Now in 2023/2024, I am receiving medical care abroad and there are so many things that are now causing me issues because of the emboli that COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED. I have a scar on my brain from losing circulation during my clots, which is now causing me epilectic symptoms. They were able to pinpoint this as a result of my emboli and nothing else. What angers me most about this, is that with a little bit of preventative care I might have been able to avoid having the emboli escalate so much. While I sat there suffering from my symptoms in the ER, being gaslit by Dr. Dunn, using my Anxiety diagnosis as an excuse, there were people next to me getting treated for dehydration after verbally expressing they refuse to drink water and being treated with such compassion in comparison. This experience just leads me to believe that preferrential treatment is given based off of what insurance you have or some other reason."

"First stay overnight and the service was like a 5 star hotel, from the girl in admittance to the nurses, Arnelle and the guys who draw the blood & hook up my IV’s like a pro, the respiratory guy Steve, to the tray girls, Jessica the chef who cooked the most delicious meals, and served hot and on time, and last but not least the wonderful Dr. Jatskiv and Dr. Edwards. Me showing up in the ER on Christmas night everyone was so kind, sympathetic and on top of that a smile on every ones faces. Everything so clean and pleasant smelling Thank you to every one who took a usually unpleasant experience to something not so scary at all, thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. UPDATE: I ended up back in the ER tightness in the chest & labored breathing, everyone again was so wonderful, Dr. Dunn is the most amazing doctor, very compassionate, answered all my questions, took his time, gave me great insight and advice for my health. EMT guy was great as well as nurse Nichole. The young lady with the short black hair that inserted my IV was a real pro& so sympathetic to my situation, later found out she was a student and would have thought she was a nurse, thank you again Connally and staff, God bless y’all"

"Had to visit the ER Sat evening after a fall. The staff were wonderful and so helpful. The wait was not that long for a Sat. night. The Dr was excellent. Had Xrays done which confirmed a fibula fracture. The Xray Tech was gentle and creative in helping me get into position. One of the best ER experiences I have had as a patient or as a family member who was with the patient. Huge plus, the facility was not freezing cold!"
