"I don't know what the deal is with this clinic and getting prescriptions out. They've gotten my husband's wrong 3 times and won't send over the correct one. I read in other reviews this was an issue and should have trusted them. Looking for a new PCP bc this is ridiculous."

"This practice is a breathe of clean fresh air. I recently switched from a clinic in Boerne due to incredibly poor clinical support staff. This practice is not only far greater, but also one of the best encounters I've had in a sometime at a family practice. I recently retired from the AF and I'm used to pretty decent medical support and PA Hicks delivered and surpassed my expectations. He was very inviting and personable, making my first visit not seemed rushed or just checking boxes. The fact that the clinic is capable of collecting it's own labs is also an enormous plus. My wife and oldest son will be switching now after my last visit to Leon Springs and we are happy to say we found our future provider. PA Hicks I strongly recommend."

"Today is the first time I’m visiting Leon Springs Family Practice w PA Stephen Hicks who is my primary caretaker from another clinic who is now here at this practice. I was running late because I couldn’t find the location but the office manager Max was very kind and accommodating. His outstanding service made me feel very welcomed and he had a great amount of patience. I’m really happy that Dr. Hicks moved practices because I feel very comfortable and well taken care of here from the exceptional Dr. Hicks of course as well as the amazing office manager Max and great office staff !! Thank you so very much for helping, welcoming, accommodating, and taking care of me!!"

"My experience with this practice started and ended with an appointment! Due to my PCP retiring sometime ago I stayed on with Stephen Hicks, PAC, so I noticed one medication I’ve been on for an extended period of time and you should never stop suddenly was only refilled with 1/2 the amount needed for the month, as I was about to run out Emily informed me I would have to see Dr Jennings first despite PA Hicks knowing my medical hx and medications quite well and the first appt was on Oct 31,2023 I explained I would have severe symptoms of stopping the med suddenly and she stated they could not work me in at all before stated date, suggested I go to an urgent care to get enough med to last until my appt with them. This was on a Friday I have vision problems due to severe dry eyes and before driving I called three different Urgent Cares all with the same answer to my question ,@sorry but we do t typically do that get in touch with your pcp again. Well this was a Friday and I suffered with multiple symptoms of suddenly stopping this med once over the weekend, by Monday morning I was very ill I drove myself to an Urgent care where they checked me out, checked my medication bottle and gave me needed med Rx called in plus nausea medication , I then called and asked Leon Springs once again could Dr Jennings not confer with PAC Hicks so icould make my final decision for a health care provider , with 44 years in the medical field I learned first and foremost the patient is of utmost importance and exceptions can and are made at times . Uncaring, you’re a number, Docs owned by big companies these days, no thank you!!! So I cancelled appt. Looking back I think I was just a number with PA Hicks since I’ve self referred to THE Mayo Clinic where I will be evaluated early November and found a new PCP who I meet with free the first visit and then decide to proceed. When you suffer as I do from a complicated medical condition it takes a special medical provider to treat and care and help you get to a diagnosis and focused plan of action . That’s my experience with Leon Springs Family Care, frankly they could care less was my impression and if PA Hicks who has treated me almost 10 years couldn’t intervene on his patients behalf then that folks is a shame. But in the end I believe I will come out for the better being treated by professionals who are flexible, in communication and trustworthy. Terry RN CCRN, retired 1/21 , 44 years service . I would like to update and add that I did not specifically intend that Leon Springs Family Practice was owned by another entity but in todays medical scenario private owned practices are the exception, also I wonder if this provider accepted Medicare from the start of his practice. This post was intended as my situation only but to let folks know you must be an advocate or have an advocate to assist you in your healthcare decisions. I’m sure this Practice is a fine one just not in my health situation . Stay well."

"I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Jennings for the first time, and it was a pleasant experience from start to finish. The friendly receptionist made me feel instantly at ease, and the nurse was very nice and polite. I had less than a 10-minute wait time before I went in for my appointment. Dr. Jennings is a very knowledgeable doctor who obviously cares about his patients. He takes his time with you, and I didn’t feel at all rushed. I highly recommend Dr. Jennings and his team at the Leon Springs Family Practice."
