"I do not even know where to begin… The practices of the pharmacy at this Walgreen’s are unethical at BEST, and probably illegal and fraudulent. When I asked the pharmacist, Abby, about the billing practices that I was being advised of by a tech (not his fault he was very polite and clearly uncomfortable repeating what he had been told), Abby started out nasty, I was polite. Abby made the choice to talk down to me, actively belittle me, and went out of her way to me try to make me feel less. Hey Abby, here’s the OFFICIAL directive (for enrolled pharmacies, from IHFS), “The Department wishes to notify pharmacies that Change HealthCare, an Optum affiliate, is experiencing a nationwide outage. Change Healthcare operates the Pharmacy Benefit Management System (PBMS) for the Department’s FFS billing application. This billing application is currently unavailable, with no estimated timeframe for returning to operation. During this time, we are removing all prior authorization (PA) mandates, including Preferred/Non Preferred status, Refill Too Soon (RTS), Third Party Liability (TPL), and Four Prescription Policy (4Rx). In an effort to keep our population healthy and safe, we request that pharmacies, in good faith, continue to fill prescriptions at the prescribed quantity, not to exceed a 30-day supply, to eligible customers. Once the system is operational, the Department will make providers whole and assist with claim submissions and provide any necessary overrides. The Department will pay all clean claims submitted once the PBMS system is operational; therefore, providers should not bill, demand, or otherwise seek reimbursement from that individual (or representative of the individual) for any service for which reimbursement is available from the Department in accordance with the Handbook for Providers of Medical Services, section 101.3.” STOP demanding DUPLICATE payment from our most vulnerable population. Among other things, it’s just wrong."

"Possibly the worst walgreens around. There is always a delay/issue with getting medications filled. Never have problems at the sugar grove location. Today specifically I called and was told a time it would be ready, arrived 10 minutes after that time only to be told they just received the prescription and hadn't even worked on it yet. How is that possible if when I called an hour ago I was told you had it and it would be ready at 10am?"

"I had fallen down the stairs and gone to urgent care. Was prescribed pain meds that the pharmacy only had 6 of and won't have more for more than a week. They did not bother to tell me this until after it was filled and paid for. Can't transfer because it is "controlled". Nothing urgent care can do for me because of policy. Guess I'm just going to have to hurt more than necessary. Thank you pharmacy staff."

"With the exception of 3 people, staff is does not understand customer service, & neither do many of the pharmacists. They are as bad as the ottawa, illinois location, which is something I never thought I would say."
