"First time trying this place. Atmosphere was pretty decent. A little small but still nice. Not too pricey considering the higher end quality of the food and pretty on par for other restaurants in the area which aren’t nearly as good. Two servers were both nice, a little scattered running around for all the tables they were trying to handle but both still nice and friendly. Food took a little while to come out but I, my wife, and even my sons to go order was all EXCELLENT. I do wish it was a little warmer but the taste itself was great! They have a few kinks they could work out but I would still definitely recommend this place. We will definitely return."

"I usually come here once every 2 weeks. Yesterday visit the food was awful. Not up to par. Who’s doing QC. The restaurant was full and service great. My food experience. No pork tacos, its 5:30 pm and it already ran out?? Thats bad planning. So I order chicken. In pic that was what fell out of taco. It great u want to stuff it but it just fall apart and was dry. This is not child friendly. Coulda made 3 tacos with spillage. Maybe some extra tortillas? The house chips our nice but the salsa, way to hot. Not like that before. 15 min to wash the heat out of mouth. Noticed lots of families with kids. They not going to eat it like that. Seems to be no consistency in heat of salsa when I go here. Last I ordered my Guacamole with no pico, cilantro and onion. Its says made to order on menu. The girl brings out after they make it and says the cook wouldn’t add onions. I should have returned it. I love salt but it was like 4 times salty than normal. I couldn’t even finish it. What a food disaster. Time to take my reg business elsewhere. This happened eve Feb 15 2024."

"Went over the weekend and as we were walking up you can smell the fresh tortilla chips! Food and staff were amazing! As a vegetarian I was happy to see a meatless taco option as well as sides and quesadillas. Definitely didn’t leave hungry!!"

"Zap Tacos will make you forget about any other so called taco you have ever had! They absolutely nailed it! Great atmosphere! Friendly staff! Awesome bartenders and drinks! And the food is very well thought out and delicious. Please understand that they are working with a small kitchen and every order receives the same amount of love and care to prepare a wonderful experience. I saw a review on the shrimp tacos not having flavor?!? He/She must not have taste buds. I would have to say they are working with high quality ingredients as well. So stop on in and give this Mokena establishment a go. Parking is allowed to the rear/ East side of the restaurant as well as the METRA Lot after 5PM. Update: changing review to 10 stars!! Get here before you can’t!"

"This place is amazing inside and out! The tacos were incredible and delicious. The wall murals, comic covered bar top, and interior design is so unique and cool. Happily surprised they also had a partnership beer with Blue Island Beer Co! Comfortable seating, great food, good tunes, and friendly staff make this my go to spot for a dinner night out! Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the Mokena area."
