"I come here a couple times a month for lunch and typically there are no issues but today I ordered 2 hot dogs and 2 cheese fries. Needless to say the fries were burnt so bad they were not edible only the hotdogs. When you pay $ 3.69 per fry and $.99 per cheese it’s a waste of money. Plus the salt was way too much. Where was the quality control?! Why would someone send out burnt fries?"
"First time having a Chicago style dog, and it was great. The chili dog, not so much. Fries and onion rings were perfect, and the chocolate cake is awesome. Nice diner-style decor."
"Went to Portillos twice this week, I love the jumbo chili cheese dogs and wanted to treat myself to that good stuff. After going through the drive thru, and both my receipts confirming jumbo chili cheese, both times in 1 week I was given Chicago style dogs. I guess it’s my fault for not unwrapping them to double check… haha. How hard is it to get that right? Frustrating."
"Nice nostalgic decor. Welcoming atmosphere and clean. Service was fast and friendly. I’m not familiar with the Chicago hot dog, so I won’t say theirs is the best, but it was the best hot dog I’ve had. The fries were good, crispy and hot. The Italian beef sandwich was good. Though I don’t have to have it again. If you like this kind of sandwich though, it won’t disappoint."
