"Good burgers, great fries, shakes are so good, too. It's definitely one of my family's most missed restaurants since we moved out of state. Have definitely considered driving the 5+ hours back just to enjoy the food."
"We didn’t have contact with a single person. Ordered from a kiosk. Name called out over an intercom. No accountability for getting the order wrong. Paid for the bacon and nobody is there. That is why your restaurants turn into banks! The food is good, but Steak and Shake is going to be out of business quickly! Just sad…Also, who am I tipping, if I don’t see anyone?"
"I hate kiosks. We were a bit unfamiliar with the menu and it took a while to get all of our food entered. Then, at the end, it had the nerve to ask if I wanted to give a 10, 15, or 20% tip. TIP?!?! For putting in my own order? I did a job, for free, that people used to get paid to do. You gotta be kidding me. At least the food was decent."
"The older gentleman helping us was incredibly nice and welcoming. The food was good and filling. What I found unsettling was the manager berating the nice older gentleman employee who had been helping us. She seemed super unprofessional the way she addressed feedback for the employee in front of all the restaurant patrons, and I didn’t agree with the feedback she was giving (about greeting more guests with a warm welcome for better survey scores). He did great- she needs more training."
"Typical for a fast food joint. Stopped for a late night milkshake and decided to get a meal. Burger was great. Don’t live the fries. Personally, I don’t like shoe string fries AND the flavor was off, like the oil was bad or something. Less than $10 for a shake and meal. Can’t beat that!"
