"Visited the Gipper's boyhood home this past July 1 as the last stop on a cross-country trip that was highlighted by my summit of Mount Rainier. The visitor center provides a great introduction to Ronnie's life as a boy and young man, which would provide the foundation for his adulthood and, ultimately, his presidency. Enjoyed learning about many tales from his youth (including the time the chief of police picked him up for setting off fireworks). Guide was very well-informed and friendly. A must-see for any Reagan fan."

"There are two buildings, visitor center and Reagan home. The visitor center has a 15 minute movie with a lot on his growing up in Dixon. Reagan spent his formative years here. There are also displays to read on various decades of his life. There is a free tour of the well maintained home. Both tour guides were enthusiastic and gave interesting side stories of Reagan’s family life. We spent about 90 minutes total. Cost was free. Not tremendously large or full of artifacts, but a nice facility well worth your time."
