"A crisp white linen tunic can feel like a fresh haircut - pert and promising. But these ladies are effing FROSTY. I’ve been in twice since moving here recently and both times, I’ve experienced the only chilly snobbery I’ve ever felt on the North Shore. While I feel HP is a warm, open town, walking into this very standard clothing chain, I feel like I’m walking into the cloistering classist ranks of the Italian designers I worked for in Costa Smeralda and Bologna. Yes, I’m a new mom with oranging highlights and yes, I’ve spent all morning in my garden so I don’t look great. But that’s why I’m THERE - to click a Reset Button and walk out feeling a little fresher. But today, I won’t feel the fresh starchy crispness of a perfect tunic - the crispness of their staff was more than plenty. I greeted them with a warm “Hello!,” and they didn’t even acknowledge me. Honestly. I hate to be weird but I always expect a warm grandmother in EF and instead I find clucking hens just humming with rage."
