Sarpino's Pizzeria Evanston

"okay I've never heard of this restaurant before last week when I tried one on a whim, because it was the only place open at the time. didn't expect much but got a personal pizza with black olives and onions and it was the best pizza I've had in my life. The bread is amazing...I was thinking about it two days later and took the family here. Asked if there was any specials and he said if we signed up for the app we would get 15% off. He was happily telling us about the pizzas and the rest of the food they had, it's very nice to see somebody that knows a lot about what they do and enthusiastic about it. anyways we were given a nice discount despite only placing a $35 w/tax order. The food is wonderful. We also tried the wings (9?), they only had a couple of flavors available thay day (sold out) but they gave us barbecue on the side which is what we wanted anyways. The wife got some type of chicken alfredo pizza? I forgot. I got the taco pizza which was very good and not too hot with jalapenos. They were flavorful, not the type of in a cheap jar or anything. these were very good jalapenos. everything was proportioned correctly on the taco pizza so you could taste everything. Kid said the wings were greasy but that's a kid that only eats chicken nuggets so she doesn't know what she's talking about. I thought the wings were great and not greasy at all. The other review I made last week said how the pizza was so fantastic I didn't make it two and a half blocks back to my event, I sat in the car and ate it because I couldn't help myself after one bite. I wanted to visit the same location but that one was quite a drive so we went to Evanston. If you come to Chicago for pizza, this is the place. I don't care what the natives might say. There's also locations in Florida and other states."

"Sausage on pizza was burnt called and the person that answered the phone had an attitude with no customer service at all. I Spent almost 40 dollars to waste my money because I also tipped the driver. Don’t order here!!!!!"

"Cmon, are you kidding me with this $25 pizza??? I would be shocked if the cost of the ingredients for the pizza was more than $2. Thin crust with barely a layer of sauce and even less cheese. Maybe a dozen pieces and Italian sausage each about a square inch in size and maybe an eighth of an inch thick. A $6.99 Dominoes pizza is better than this."

"There has to be something wrong with the quality of the ingredients at this Evanston location or cleanliness of the property or employees procedures. I was at this location yesterday Thursday 11/10/2022 and I ordered personal pizza with steak meat, onions and green peppers. After finishing up eating the pizza soon later I got so sick to my stomach and was rushing to find a washroom. All day my stomach was full of pain. The pizza was very small and it was very hard to distinguish ingredients between them because I can tell now for sure that they were not fresh, no taste or smell difference just generic pizza worse then frozen one. I ate pizzas from different places and all over the world but this one was really bad. I have been getting many flyers from this Sarpino’s pizza brand to my mailbox and this was my first opportunity to try but I would never eat anything from this restaurant Sarpino’s brand for sure."
