"We enjoy our food here but it always hit or miss. It is never a consistency of good food. As another customer mentioned, they tend to never get your order right. No pickles means don't put pickles on my burger. Directions are sure not followed here. The beef and burgers are their best items and the fries seem to be hit or miss in taste. Please slow down and do better. We use to get really good meals from here."

"I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. To start, I got violently sick after eating here almost 2 years ago. I haven't returned to this location in between that time for a reason. Every single other Portillo's is tastier, and it's not close. I decided to give it another chance today. I paid $57 for them to forget my cheese cup. The fries suck (this location way undercooks fries/they don't know how to cook fries because they're white when they give them to you as "cooked"). I asked for well done fries for this reason and none of them were. The whole meal was lacking taste. Needless to say I won't be returning, and I will actively tell people not to go here as I already have been doing. This just solidified my impressions. WASTED MY MONEY."

"Been coming to Portillo’s for over 20 years, moved out of state for a few, came back and it doesn’t taste nearly as good as it used to. Beef had no flavor. Fries were uncooked. Milkshake was liquidy. Sad."

"It's a Portillo's. I enjoy the food, but Google doesn't let us do a 3 ½ star rating. Some people will try to tell you there are better Italian Beef sandwiches in and around Chicago, but Portillo's does it just fine."

"This place came highly recommended by a couple of people at work. Having just moved here, my husband and I tried it out for dinner tonight. I have to say, probably the worst burger I’ve had, not to mention it was charred. I would have much preferred a cheap burger from McDonald’s at half the price. Also, the chocolate cake claims to be one of their most popular items. I’ve had better baked goods from gas stations. Absolutely would not recommend!"
