"Got a brisket sandwich and baked beans on Thursday, it was awesome! Friday I went back and got 3 orders of ribs and an order of rib tips. Sides are awesome as well. I don't even like cooked cabbage but I loved the cabbage greens."

"AMAZING BBQ!! Also Cadillac James is the real deal, and a super nice guy. We’ve travelled all across the country and had our fair share of barbecue, and this place is easily one of the best we’ve ever had. The dry rub wings were incredible- perfectly cooked and amazingly seasoned. Ribs were perfectly sauced and cooked to perfection, came off the bone easy but didn’t fall off all sloppy-like when someone over cooks them. Pulled pork was also incredible, on some nice bread as well! All the sides were amazing, especially the sweet potatoes and baked beans. He was super friendly and open to hearing about us, and also gave us some rib tips he accidentally prepared AND some watermelon from a local farmers market! Would highly recommend this to anyone, drive out of your way to go to this place- it is well worth it!"

"Wow! Are you looking for some genuine BBQ? Go pay a visit to Cadillac James and the team at Lil Ol Hickory Hut! We were passing through on our way back to MN and decided to give the Hickory Hut a try. The best I've had in a long time! Found out that James is from St. Paul MN. Truly a small world! Thank you Cadillac James and team for warm hospitality and some fantastic food! We'll see you on our way back next year!! BTW - the brisket sandwich was amazing and the sweet potatoes... BEST EVER!"

"Wow!! I happened to come across this BBQ place in Hannibal while searching for one this afternoon and boy am I ever glad I did. James, the owner, is such a kind and generous man. He knows his stuff. The ribs are tender and have great flavor, the brisket has a great Smokey flavor and the BBQ sauce makes it. I can’t wait to go back and try more of his different options. I HIGHLY recommend visiting him and tasting for yourself. Everything is homemade. The potato salad is really good!!"
