Steak 'n Shake

"Upon arrival there was a couple standing in front of the counter seemed to be awaiting service, then switched to the credit kiosk to order ..(the other kiosk was down) they was having trouble placing an order on it so they decided to try to get help from one of the three people being behind the counter with no luck they walked away. After noticing everything, I hesitantly ordered for me and my whole family, again needing assistance and was ignored upon asking. Patently waiting a female finally looked back when I asked again if they could just take cash and was extremely rude with one word...NO!! I was shocked to hear so so I asked again..and then she said well, yeah but it'll be a while.. With people waiting behind me I quickly finish my order to hurry up and carry on as there was a family awaiting the kiosk because it was the only option. Upon receiving the food it was nothing but seriousl disappointment. I after trying to sit through it with my kids walked up and asked who the manger was and a woman replied with "me" in a shout and walked away. Seriously was just terrible, I wouldn't recommend going there at all."

"We were visiting family and decided to have them join us for dinner that evening. I was very pleased with the atmosphere and the service. Our food for all nine of us arrived at the same time. The manager checked on us frequently. I have no complaints and I would eat there again."

"Fries had a few fries, maybe 15, that were over two inches long, most were not over 1 1/2 in. The 4 tables we looked at were not wiped clean, we chose the cleanest. Restroom was just unclean, urinal was crusted yellow. Good bye Steak and Shake nice knowing you. It is that you are not the only one on the block."

"We thought it was abandoned. Part of the sign on the menu board is missing, paint is peeling off the building and it looks horrible. As I was looking at the board and taking a picture, I was shocked to have someone speak to me. Our food was okay, the lady didn't give us any drinks and couldn't figure out what we ordered, but we got that straightened out. Diet Coke tasted weird, but after reading other reviews, I am just happy that we didn't get sick."

"Stopped to use the restroom and was hoping to grab lunch for a one stop run. Needless to say we did not eat here! The sidewalk/entry way into the restaurant was already throwing red with how BLACK and dirty it was. Walking into the restaurant it continued…the floors where all gross! You can see the back of the grill and it’s caked on with grease. The restrooms haven’t been clean in months and it’s obvious. The toilet paper roll was hanging down in the women’s room and the men’s room the paper towel holder was broken."
