"The last 2 Steak n Shake's i have been to Alton IL and Wood River IL were 2 stars. I have to order at a kiosk the service was slow and eating area was not clear. Litchfield has it GOING ON. STOP BYE GREAT PLACE! You order at front counter they bring you the food. OMG THE OLD SNS IS BACK!"
"Well, went to drive thru and the lady kept interrupting when we were ordering, so she ended up forgetting our second chili, side of cheese sauce, and cherry on the milkshake. And we didn’t realize Till we drove home. Then we drove back to go in and get the rest of our order, and went home to eat it, all of it was so dried out, the chicken strips were so hard with barely any meat too them, the fries were pretty much crumbs and the cheese sauce was gross. Something needs to change. Worst experience at a Steak ‘n Shake."
"Typical steak & shake. Plenty of free close parking, handicap accessible. Food was well cooked and assembled, hot and good. The store was clean and well organized. Food was up, took it to the table and waited and waited and waited at the counter for my banana shake, all the while my fries got cold and greasy by the time I finally got my shake and sat down. Then the lady behind the counter started yelling for someone, a fellow employee I suspect but they were nowhere around and it took her an amazingly long time to stop yelling for him. So unprofessional, distracting and completely unnecessary. The catsup packets don't work either, glad I had my pocket knife handy or I would have never gotten any."
"Fantastic place! Love the people and the food. We came in at the last minute and they didn't turn us away (under 30 min till close). Many of us have worked in a kitchen and know those kinda rules. Fair pricing, ample parking, very clean inside. The food was delicious and it was a very pleasant experience."
"Love the new Steak N Shakes design. The experience at this location was outstanding compared to the locations where I live. Clean, fast, and hot food. I enjoy walking up to the counter to order my food more than the old traditional service."
