City View Lofts

"I've been a resident for over 2 years and the one star rating is for the location, as it's within walking distance to the ballpark. First and foremost, the complex is listed as luxury lofts , but the complex is anything but luxurious. Many of the community amenities are non existent; the high tech computer resource center consists of two computers with a printer that sometimes has paper and if it doesn't good luck locating the property manager. She's in and out on a whim with no or last minute notice, there is no theater room, there is no lush landscaping and professional management is definitely not a word I would use to describe the current management. The property manager provides last minute notice for all community repairs. For instance, just this week mid-day Tuesday we were notified of power washing that would take place on Wednesday. The notice included a passive aggressive comment that failure to move vehicles or damage would not be their responsibility. My partner and I often travel for work, luckily I was here to move his vehicle otherwise we would not have been able to move it as he was out of town. Office closures, use of the basement, etc., are all communicated last minute without any regard to the complex tenants. I could go on and on about the issues; and as a previous tenant noted; fees are charged based on who and what the property manager, Wendy wants to charge. For the amount of money they charge for rent, I would recommend looking elsewhere."

"Living here for a few months has been an absolute delight! Zero complaints – not a single issue with neighbors, and let me tell you, Wendy, the manager, is nothing short of amazing (and she didn’t ask for this shout-out, but she deserves it)! The place runs like a well-oiled machine under her care. The location is fantastic, especially if you’re an Astros fan – no need to break the bank on $80 parking. Plenty of places within walking distance or a quick Uber ride away. The cherry on top is the concierge service in the amenities – it’s a lifesaver, from groceries to assistance when you’re away. Highly recommend this place!"

"City View Lofts is a great place to live because of its location and it's less than 90 units (I'm counting the new section of City View Lofts). I rarely saw and heard residents. The downside is that the windows are not doubled pane so you can hear the traffic; especially if you're on the first floor facing N Chenevert Street. The windows are not energy efficient. The new building has upgraded windows. I also love that the units are equipped with a walk in shower and jacuzzi! The ceiling in the units are a rare site; they have a curve to it and the color makes it look kinda rustic which I love. There's rooftop access for residents with a breath taking view of Downtown Houston. The Property Manager, Wendy, is definitely a good property manager because she communicates efficiently, cares for the residents, and she maintains the property well."

"As a new resident at city view lofts i have to say this place is extremely unique and i enjoy living here. Starting with Wendy, the property manager, she is amazing at her job and makes this place run as smooth as possible. The location is great and the building itself has a lot of character unlike any other. The residents are all very nice! It was difficult looking for a very industrial loft but this one took the lead! Very safe and would recommend applying to this place."

"I'm so close to giving City View 5 stars – the only problem here for me, and it's a big one working often from home – is the internet provider (DSL from the 90s). I've lived here for 2+ years and while I don't make much use of the amenities, the location is great with the best views of downtown, the building is historic and unique, and though things do break on occasion – it's an old building – they're promptly fixed. If you go to Astros or Dynamos games, it's the perfect spot. And with EaDo continuing to grow, there's plenty of walkable shops, restaurants and bars. Hopefully we'll have internet from this era soon – there's a chance of Comcast or Verizon 5G – and I can update to 5 stars."
