Taylor Heights Apartments

"Taylor Heights Apartments are a great choice for people looking for a quiet complex with good amenities and community activities. I moved here in July 2023. The apartment staff are the most attentive and professional leasing staff that I have ever worked with.The maintenance team is particularly outstanding. They are kind and friendly while setting the standards necessary to maintain a clean and orderly property. The residents are also mostly nice people. This is a dog friendly complex, but you wouldn't know it by the smell. The grounds are well kept and people are generally good about cleaning up after their dogs. The third-party valet trash people were such a pain when I moved in (sometimes my fault for not knowing rules, sometimes just didn't pick it up for no discernible reason) that I now just take my trash to the trash room. Not a big deal at all as there are trash rooms conveniently located on all the floors of the garage! I still give the apartment complex 5 stars as none of the problems were on their end and they were great explaining the rules and helping me navigate solutions. I just personally decided it wasn't worth dealing with and believed it worth mentioning as it was the ONLY con that had been echoed to me by other residents when I first moved in. The complex is conveniently located near grocery stores, retail shops, and bars. The Sawyer Yards area has seen some car break-ins and the typical issues that come with city life. However, I feel safe walking my dogs at night on the various well lit side walks around the building, and there is a dog park where I can take them at particularly odd hours if needed. I don't know much about the school district, but there are a lot of young families in the building. Overall this is the best apartment I have lived in so far (out of 7), and I don't see myself living anywhere else for the remainder of my time in Houston."

"Living at Taylor Heights has been such a pleasant experience. The entire staff has been nothing short of amazing. The leasing staff is so friendly and you can tell they actually enjoy what they do, that makes such a difference. Within a week I realize the staff not only knew me by name, but my dog as well! Blaze walking into a room of people calling his name and giving him treats really does go a long way. He loves it and so do I. But it doesn’t stop there. That positive attitude extends beyond the office, the maintenance and cleaning team are just as wonderful. Mr Freddy and his team are so great! To top it all off, the monthly community events are so much fun and a great way to meet your neighbors! So if you’re looking for a friendly, professional and helpful team with great customer service - Taylor Heights is for you! Also, the location is great. There’s plenty of food choices, Target, Pets Mart all within walking distance and I-10 is close as well."

"I love my experience at Taylor Heights. Having been here 1.5 years, they make living in an apartment complex a breeze while also fostering a community. This is the first apartment where I have felt like the staff knows me by name (and I have lived in 5 different complexes over the years). Just a wonderful, friendly, and upbeat staff. Plus, any concerns or requests are taken care of swiftly and efficiently. I plan on staying a little while longer!"

"Edit (Update November 2023): DO NOT MOVE HERE...I WARNED YOU...keep reading! Unless you want to be treated like a valuable resident by the best office staff in Houston this place is not for you! If you prefer unfriendly office staff, irresponsible residents and a terrible property then go somewhere else. This is a place where you come to when you want to experience kind people, a vibrant community with multiple resident events, a beautiful pool and great neighbors. So if that's not your cup of tea keep looking lol Hopefully your not confused. This is a exit review bc we are moving but still rated 5 stars nonetheless. Sarcasm aside, I've lived at multiple properties in Houston and Taylor Heights hands down have exceeded my expectations beyond what I could have predicted. My family owes a huge thanks to making our stay at Taylor Heights one of the best we could ever ask for. If life circumstance did not require us to relocate we wouldn't. That's how good this property is. Not kidding or exaggerating. Special shout out to Necole the PM who goes above and beyond to exceed resident satisfaction. Freddy the maintenance guy who is like that favorite uncle I never had. Nina who creatively contributed to our families gender reveal. Brian who makes every interaction worthwhile. Marco who wastes no time in fixing things and knows how to get it done. Lastly Vona who brings new and fresh talent to the Taylor Heights team and always greets us with heart-warming smiles and welcoming energy. Will miss y'all. Original review (May 2022): There’s too many pros that far outweigh cons about this property to type out in a summary so I’m listing all below based on my 4 months of living at Taylor Heights. See below: -A large 1400 sq ft 2 BR, 2 bath, floor to ceiling windows, spacious living room, modern fixtures -Social games dispersed across the resident courtyard including a pool table, Foosball, Cornhole, Shuffle Board and Bocce Ball -Visually aesthetic cabanas with an outdoor fireplace, TV monitors and string lights to create a nice courtyard ambiance at night -Immediate access to one of Houston’s most popular trails and retail shops (too many shops to name!) -ACTUAL on-site security during non-business hours - and the BEST office staff Houston has to offer What more can I ask for? This place is a gold mine. Admittedly the exterior of our complex is less attractive than some of its peer properties in the area but don’t let that fool you. I lived at 2 other properties in the Heights and neither come close to quality of living you can expect to receive while staying here. The office staff including maintenance continue to make this a an enjoyable place to live. Freddie, the maintenance guy remembers residents names and always greets us in passing. Necole, the property manager has a “whatever it takes” approach to resident satisfaction. Mia and Brian are some of the most attentive leasing agents I’ve ever met. They make the difference and that’s why we love it here. Having all the extras listed above are just the icing on the cake. My favorite part about this place is our floorplan and view. It’s a people watching paradise seeing all the outdoor enthusiasts which motivates me to get my butt off the couch and hit the trail. Every now and then I see questionable activity outside of our living room window which makes it a tad bit uncomfortable but that just comes with the territory of where our floorplan is situated. Kind of a catch 22. Besides this I have to say, it’s been a great experience! No place is perfect but even in meeting other residents they tend to have the same general feedback on how much they enjoy staying here. Kudos to the TH team!
