"Good afternoon or good morning, I give the Lantern Village apartments 3 stars because I didn't like that when they broke the window in my room and the maintenance guys were the ones who broke it. They came to fix it but I realized that they didn't glue it to the other window they didn't break. Also the attention now is not like before."

"Unacceptable Living Conditions and Negligence I must urgently bring attention to the deplorable living conditions due to negligence by this property management. During the recent cold freeze, the heating system remained dysfunctional for over two days, and my three-year-old woke up shivering. The persistent roach and mouse issues further highlight the property manager's failure in providing a safe and habitable environment. Urging caution to prospective tenants, this experience raises serious concerns about the property management's commitment to tenant well-being."

"Update: This is a genuine review that used to be 5 stars. THEY NEVER send any emails when shutting water off or power outages happen. 13 hours of no power. They say it’s the city, but centerpoint just came and said it’s not them at all. Rosie has no respect or sympathy to someone who’s livelihood will be impacted. So if you come home to no power too bad?? No email, letter on door, text!!? Staff: I will genuinely say the staff is polite for the most part. Only Nora and Tony. Rosie, the property manager.. Certainly takes pride in her title. Hopefully that pride motivates her work ethic, one day. Maintenance: Worst in existence. Took three days and screaming to fix my AC. It was running cold so I would prefer that instead of the heat. I did have one incident in which my toilet pipe was dripping. Turned the water off, still leaking. Called at 2:00PM CST - I had to call again at 4:50PM CST and I had to call the after hours line so many times. Leasing office: NIGHTMARE. All they get paid to do is “that’s a different department” for anything you call for. They’re Useless Utilities: Water, Electric, and all included. I won’t be renewing here and even centerpoint energy told me they know exactly where I’m calling from and I should move. I haven’t personally seen any alarming number of roaches or anything like that in my unit, but my friend’s is infested. I will say that often you’ll hear maintenance when walking above buildings to fix AC units, and they step LOUDLY. Either rodents running across the roof or something. I’ve never visually seen them inside my unit thankfully. Walls are paper thin. Move-In inspection: They will tell you that a leasing agent will write down everything you notice on the sheet, but you have to point it out “before they step outside the apartment” as that’s the only time any maintenance requests will be made for me (they didn’t, I had to call for DAYS) and other places you get 24 hours to fill the sheet. Maintenance staff falsely claimed that they came in and my emotional support dog was not in his kennel.. I was home and frustratingly waiting so this only made me even more hopeless in being able to get help. That said, after 8:00PM someone actually came and assisted. An interaction I had with one maintenance personnel was concerning in which he yelled to ask if my dog was on a leash (he was) and I have no problem with that question. He screamed it, and when I had to answer loudly with him far away, he didn’t hear me due to having his headset on. I had to say it again and then he nodded and I let him know to ask politely next time - he did not appreciate that and faced me in a very strange and off putting way that made me feel uneasy and unsafe which I Rosie barely handled appropriately. I haven’t experienced the winter yet to see if all the reviews are accurate about not having heat, but I expect yes. Security: The only good ones here. They’re always polite to people and patrolling. To enter the premises, there are two entrances for the building I live in. One is closed at night and the other is open 24-7. Everyone that enters on foot has to show a school, government, or any sort of id from what I was told. If they are operating a vehicle, they must show a driver’s license. Regardless they must know the resident name and number. This has caused me issues with food delivery apps but I added in my order notes that if a driver does not have a license, to contact the “driver” support. Just a tip to avoid problems with security/food delivery services. Parking lot: the roads are not the greatest. You’ll be able to at least park anywhere even under covered spots, but at night parking can be scarce. Nearly stressful and you have to park in a weird way (I’ve never had to) but others will. Then I’ll hear security knocking on doors of those vehicles asking them to move their cars. Internet: There’s one company that offers service in this area and the plan I have isn’t bad for 300mbs."

"As a current lease holder in the hottest months of the year, I am forced to make multiple calls to emergency maintenance for assistance with air conditioning outages however these requests are not even met within the same day. At now 84 degrees and climbing and after 4 phone calls to a reported “24 hour emergency maintenance” line, I am forced to check my cat and myself into a hotel."
