"The city centre residential location is a nightmare. There is only 1 elevator in the lobby which would be okay if the elevator ever worked. Every few days the elevator is down. If it’s actually working, the other elevators in the building are out of service. They fix an elevator only for another one to be broken. I’m not sure how this building passes inspections. My main concern is not only is it extremely inconvenient for the price I pay for rent, there have been multiple occasions where an elderly, pregnant, and even a disabled person (wheelchair) had to be assisted by my husband and I in order to get up the stairs. I am not a lawyer, but this has to somehow be a violation of ADA regulation. Absolutely unacceptable. The management only sends us emails and texts apologizing for the inconvenience but never once have compensated the residents in any form for the constant debacle that are these elevators. Nothing is getting solved, yet I am paying the same amount of rent for a horrible living experience. I absolutely do not recommend moving here."

"I have lived at The Monarch for almost 5 years. I am a good tenant and have always paid my rent on time. When I first moved in, this was a great place to live with a great management team. They were very kind, helpful and efficient and any maintenance concerns were addressed right away. Within the last year or so, SYNC Residential has taken over the management and everything about this complex has gone downhill. The halls are dirty, there is mismatched and chipped paint all over the walls. The elevator goes out on a regular basis. The halls smell like marijuana every day. Packages are regularly stolen from tenants' doorsteps. When I reported this issue, the solution provided to me was to get a ring doorbell camera. Upon reviewing my lease, we are not even allowed to have ring doorbell cameras without written permission. I have had issues with roaches for the last year. I woke up one Wednesday morning with roaches on the walls and ceiling of my apartment. I went to the office and asked them to have pest control come address the issue since there is a pest control fee included in my monthly rent payment and was told they were "just water bugs" and would have to wait until Monday for pest control to spray on their scheduled day. I was not even able to pay a company to come spray the apartment at my own expense because the staff said they have a contract with a specific company. I continue to have issues with roaches to this day. My AC unit has not been cooling properly since the beginning of September when it was 100+ degrees outside and recently completely gave out. I have submitted 8 maintenance requests, the first few of which a maintenance tech came to my unit, turned the thermostat down to 50 and told me "everything is fine." I have gone to the office in person countless times and made 10+ calls to the office, the majority of which have gone unanswered. When they have been answered and I have asked to be called back with updates, my calls have never once been returned. I've called the emergency maintenance line twice and left messages due to the temperature outside being 85+ degrees at the time of AC not working and never received a call back. After maintenance finally came to repair the unit, it took 9 hours in my one bathroom apartment. I was given no prior notice of the day it would be fixed or how long the repair would take. When the maintenance tech was finished he apologized for how long it took and said "I didn't know it would be that hard or that high in the ceiling." I had been told by management that this maintenance tech was HVAC certified but this information indicated to me that he had never fixed an AC unit within the complex. A few hours after he left, the AC unit began to leak consistently. I submitted another maintenance request yesterday evening for the leak. I called this morning to see if the office would let maintenance know about the leak to which they responded "he is working on work orders today and will see your work order at some point." It is almost 5 pm, my AC is still leaking and I have heard nothing. There is a complete lack of communication, respect or accountability by the management of this complex. The staff is rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, inefficient and seemingly unbothered by legitimate concerns expressed by tenants. My rent has continued to increase to prices more than the offers made to potential new tenants as listed on the website despite many units being vacant. My resident services fee has also increased. I have no idea where this money is going since it is clearly not going towards the upkeep of my unit or the complex. 0/10 recommend"

"The Dallas apartment complex is a nightmare. Some of the staff are really great, but the overall management of the complex was terrible. One of the property managers or one of the office associates reregistered my boyfriends vehicle incorrectly when he switched apartments, resulting in his car being towed and more than 500 dollars in fees from the tow company, that the apartment complex refuses to reimburse. They are claiming that he reregistered incorrectly when the document they forged does not have his correct last name and they drew a line for his signature. I don't know how they think they're going to get away with not taking responsibility for it, and I'm going to do everything I can to make sure they don't."

"I have been working for SYNC a little over 6 years. The experience has been great. I can say that they truly care about their employees, and their career development. I started with them as an assistant manager and has received several promotions. With SYNC they value us and appreciate the time and effort we put in."

"Working for SYNC Residential has been the best employment experience I have had. Immediately upon my start of employment I was provided with all resources necessary to excel in my position. It's not often that you find an employer that treats you as equal and considers your feedback from early on. I was young when I started and my age never held me back, experience, accomplishments, and willingness to excel is the only thing that is considered when advancement opportunities present themselves. The corporate team is extremely involved and makes it known that employee satisfaction and development is a top priority. Through hard work and dedication I was able to advance my career rather quickly, while being fully prepared for each promotion opportunity. I truly feel like every employee in the entire portfolio is looked at as a member of a family rather than just a number. I am truly honored and blessed to be a part of SYNC Residential."
