"Costco is great for buying in bulk. I like buying paper towels and toilet paper. The prepared meals such as chicken fettuccine alfredo fajita kit, lasagna and more are very good and fresh heat and eat meals under 20.00. The pastries are delicious and always fresh. In the frozen aisle they have really good pizza it comes packaged in a box of two Motor City Pizza Company brand. Super good the crust is so good too. Update: was back at Costco today and found chocolate covered strawberries in the freezer section. They are fantastic! Yummy."

"There is an article in the Costco Connection magazine about a couple, empty nesters, that shop at Costco. They are wise at what they buy just because of the volume of items you have to make sure of how it fits your lifestyle. So it’s a great place to shop their stores are clean the isles are wide to accommodate the carts, and the prices of their merchandise are budget friendly."

"Probably the worst place in all of central IL every worker I had any contact with was vary rude and acted as if they own the world or at least the little place that gave them a job being nasty to the customers must be in there training because they all do that well . only thing good about my year membership is now I know I will definitely not continue this abuse, didn't have even one good experience with this place starting from the first when I got the membership. The manager must be a real hard a.. To have all the employees so conceded and awful. I hope they can escape and hope they don't take it home and treat there family so bad"

"Costco Peoria is about an hour drive from Springfield. Need I say with the rating that it is worth the trip! We had arranged an appointment to have a set of new tires installed on our SUV. The tire shop was ready for us and we decided to shop while the installation was completed. Christmas plants, toys, decorations and many new items were being perused by the shoppers. The store was crowded yet orderly, especially in the checkout lanes. My wife had misplaced her membership card and without missing a beat, a new card was created which earned a broad smile from her. As per usual, our tab at checkout was more than intended. We find that this the norm as we discovered items we knew came in for, yet there were so many other “tempting buys” that somehow made it into our cart. The tire store had texted us that the vehicle was ready long before we were finished with finding out what was new or interesting to us. Costco is premier shopping outlet that we enjoy visiting. Finally, before we headed back to Springfield, we filled the gas tank for under $3 per gallon."

"It offers all the good things you expect from a Costco location. Very clean and well lit. Usually not crowded, at least not as crowded as other locations in bigger cities. Gas station lines are usually short, although prices are not very attractive (a couple local gas stations often have similar prices). I heard you can get better prices on Thursdays. Store closes early on the weekends so check the schedule before you go."
