Estates at Westchase

"I applied at the Estates at Westchase apartments 1/2024. The manager Claudia Avilez at the Waverly lied and informed the management at the Estates that I was evicted from the Waverly. I called her to ask why she lied. She responded that I was the cause for the office being shut down for 3 hours. My application was denied due to the LIES!!!! I resided at another apartment after the Waverly and received a letter of tenant recommendation and a full refund of my deposit because I am an outstanding tenant. Amy the Assistant manager at the Estates and her manager never contacted that complex. They went by the lie. The Estates staff did everything they could to deny my application prior to accepting her lie because they profile applicants. I'm a black female....ALL of the staff at the Estates and the Waverly are ALL HISPANIC. I asked for the name and phone number of the background check company used for my application...which is legally to be submitted to me. Amy said the general/area manager would contact me, they never did. I contacted Richmark Properties and requested they contact me about this, they never did. They do not welcome you here.....if you're BLACK."

"I've lived here for almost 7 years. This has been my only dwelling since moving to Houston. It's now time for a new one. Management has declined over the years. This once beautiful complex now feels like the slums of Westheimer. The gate is broken, I can't gain access to my mailbox, mice are in my attic, my sink doesn't work. No one returns phone calls. Yet, they are quick to attempt eviction. Paying $40 for valet trash is insane when they don't have a company. Just maintenance picking it up when they can. I'm so ready to go!! I've had enough!"

"It’s sad to say that I find pleasure in knowing that I’m not the only one who has had a bad experience. The first 3 pics is what I saw when I walked into my “new apartment “ , mind you, they had whole month to get my apt in order and failed to do so. When I put in a work order abt my tub and frig they actually had the NERVE to send me a text saying it was complete. I called the ACTAUL company that manages the property and all of a sudden I get a text that someone will be out the next day . I am literally using a PLUNGER for my sink to make the water go down, the garbage disposal has not worked since I’ve been here, meaning there’s food in my sink from before I moved in, I can’t even describe to you the smell that comes up from that . As you can see I can’t use the shelves in my frig since I can’t store my condiments nor is there a storage . The Maintenance man came by, looked at it, told me he would get the parts from a vacant apartment and he never came back and that was three weeks go. THEY ARE MORE WORRIED ABOUT THE OUTSIDE APPEARANCE INSTEAD IF ANYTHING. Peoples move out , and they do not lock up the vacant apartments, leaving squatters to get nice a comfortable"

"I’ve lived here since the begging of March. At first I would not have recommended this property to anyone, but the new Property Manager has definitely put her best foot forward try to turn the property around. Although she’s excellent her team in office is not. The leasing consultants can definitely use some more train as their customer service is lacking. Obviously this is a general consensus because, I’m not the only one who complained about staff in the reviews. With that being said, I strongly believe that with the right team the Property Manager, would be able to achieve her goals on what she envisions for the property."

"The New Property manager is the best part, she’s down to earth and she personable. She really is on top of things and explains everything she can thankfully. As for her leasing team they could improve on being empathetic and helpful, they don’t know too much and it’s annoying to have to wait for the manager to receive feedback and professional help."
