Benny's Pizza Rushville

"I have been aware of Benny's in Beardstown for a long time but never tried it. After talking to friends about the recently opened Benny's in Rushville I took my wife and my two youngest granddaughters there for an after auction meal. My wife ordered chicken sandwich (which she said was ok but nothing special), the girls, ages 3 and 5 shared fettuccine alfredo (which they loved) and I ordered the many meat pizza. Italian bread came with something we ordered but I have no idea how good it was because the girls ate it all before I could try it. Apparently the girls enjoyed it. Back to my pizza. I have eaten a lot of pizzas - frozen pizzas, homemade pizzas, chain restaurant pizzas, tavern pizzas, and Italian restaurant pizzas. I am no expert, but I have a lot of pizza miles under my belt. The expectations for Benny's was high. The reality a letdown. I thought it was ok. But I had a few pieces left and I took them home for a snack. Surprise! The next day I heated up the leftovers and away from the the expectations my friends had laid out it was quite good. Definitely will return for a 2nd chance at Benny's."
