Like many of other reviews, I was heading West on I-80 when I ran into car trouble - Cory at B & D helped me right away and had me back on the road within 30 minutes. Based on my predicament and lack of other options, I expected the cost of my fix to be reflective, but B & D proved that in addition to lightning-fast work and friendly customer service, they also are fair and honest in their pricing. Cory stopped what he was doing, installed a new alternator, charged the battery, and had us back on our journey in about 3 hours. He saved our trip! Fantastic service by an excellent mechanic. "I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. We live in Illinois. Our daughter was traveling to Iowa City and had car trouble on Interstate 80. I found B&D Automotive online and directed her there. She had to leave her car there overnight and I called the next morning to make arrangements for repair. From the first call with Cory, our experience was great. Even though we did not have an appointment, they agreed to look at the vehicle right away that morning. The car trouble caused my daughter to be in a bit of a bind but B&D not only diagnosed the problem but had it fixed by early afternoon. They communicated well and handled everything professionally. They definitely exceeded my expectation. If you are in the Walcott, IA area and have a need for automotive services, I cannot recommend B&D highly enough."
